"Logan, are you sure that I am okay?" with a shaky voice Briar asked as she leaned weakly against Logan inside the ward.
She had just 'woken up' twenty minutes ago and until now, the shock of falling unconscious when she was supposed to get a checkup lingered on her.
Logan, seeing Briar trembling and her voice shaking with fear, felt guilt towards her.
He wasn't a good person. That was one thing that he knew. He had so many reasons for what he had just done and yet when seeing her like that, not knowing what she just went through, he felt like a big villain.
However, that thought quickly left as soon as it came. It wasn't the first time that he was like this. Rather than feeling guilt, he might as well just give her what she wants.
He would compensate for everything and make sure that he gave her the best.
After all, with his greatest problem solved, his heart was now at peace.
