In the days which followed, Briar was at ease and spent most of her time either at home or sending the kids to and from school.
Life was very fulfilling and above all, her health was getting better and her hair was growing back. She wasn't bald like when she was discharged from the hospital.
It was now late October, and on this day, Briar woke up pretty early. She didn't leave the bed once she was wide awake but took a moment to appreciate the man who was sleeping on the bed soundly with affection in her eyes.
