Alice sat nervously in her office as she continuously checked the time.
It's been almost six weeks since she last saw Briar and she didn't know how to face the other. However, just because she didn't know how to face the other didn't mean that she needed to stay away.
If she didn't reconcile with Briar, her brother would have her head. They had dragged this matter for a long time.
Knowing Briar, even with her memories intact, there was no way that she would be willing to meet with her. They have been at odds for years, so it would be strange. So, she could only bow down and hope that Briar would give her face.

Thankfully, she didn't need to wait for a very long time, as someone started knocking on her door.
Alice calmed herself done, assuming that it was her sister-in-law who had arrived. She didn't dare let Briar, that scheming snake, find her in such a situation.
