Briar watched as Logan reached for the documents he had placed on the side when he joined her on the bed.
'Could they be the contract we signed back then?' she wondered curiously as her heart pounded nervously.
Once the documents were in hand, he revealed them in front of her, making it easy to see what they were. And once she saw what they were, her heart dropped. She looked at him nervously, wondering what he was up to.

Suddenly, her heart started hurting and tears started pooling in her eyes without warning.
Logan, who had just revealed the documents, panicked when he saw her reaction. He didn't expect her reaction to be that heavy. After all, he hadn't even said a single word and yet she was already crying.
He wasn't good at coaxing people and he was afraid that if he said the wrong word, she might burst like a dam and that wouldn't be too wonderful to look at.
