"My snot is about to freeze solid," Bai Nuanxi muttered, standing frozen in place. She couldn't even muster the energy to roll her eyes. "You're torturing me to death. How could you do this? You're so mean."
"Sweetheart, you're not even sniffling," Huo Muchen replied, unfazed.
"Maybe my snot has frozen inside my heart," she retorted, then suddenly glanced at him with a mischievous smile. "Speaking of which, my heart's full of you."

He thought for a moment, slightly repulsed. That... was kind of gross. Gross enough to leave him speechless.
"Come on, let's go check out the cabin." Huo Muchen took her hand, guiding her step by step through the thick snow.
Bai Nuanxi wasn't sure how long they walked through the biting cold. She felt like she might collapse at any moment, but somehow, after trudging for what seemed like forever, she made it to the house, still very much alive.
