Instantly, my head goes blank. Everything inside is deleted and I'm just staring at the man in front of me with my eyes opened wide.
Then like an empty tank being filled by water in full force, the words he just said begin to fill my head. Again and again the words are dancing round and round in my head, filling up the blankness that had taken over for a moment.
And the more it replays, the more absurd it sounds.
I'm telling myself I must have heard wrong, but then the voice is still replaying in my head again and again, assuring me that indeed I heard what he said.
But… What is he trying to say?
No, what's he saying? I mean, huh?
