I then hurry over to Yaldabaoth and lift him up. "Please don't bow to me; I'm not used to having you guys show your respect to me. Even so, I'm just a fragment of him, not the real one. I'm just me, Duc."
He just chuckled and let me lift him out of bowing. "Real or fragment, we don't care. All we need to know is that the one in front of us is the one that has changed our life for the better." He then walks out of the temple while I follow him.
This is Yaldabaoth, the used to be false god of bestiary and instinct. He is now an Omniversal class entity that governs over a complex multiverse that is mainly occupied by sentient mythical beings, from normal beasts to humanoid ones. His complex multiverse is based around primitive and medieval times. It is also a combination of magical power with many mythical aspects. If comparing him right now to his original counterpart, then his life is more lucky than his. He was just being imprisoned alongside Mekkhane.
"So who was the person that you just prayed to?" I ask in curiosity. "As far as I know, there aren't many people that you guys can pray to."
He just laughs as we keep walking. "I wasn't praying, my Lord. I was just talking with my wife; you probably know how she is, right? Always focus on her projects and technologies. I was just reminding her to take a break just now."
I just smile gently at his answer because I already know who his wife is. We then keep walking until we reach a beautiful garden that was surrounded by many types of flora, from normal ones to even mythical ones. We keep walking until we reach a small pond that has some chairs, a table, some fishing poles, and a tea set. We then sit down and start fishing while talking.
"So how have you been all this time?" I ask him a question.
He was holding a fishing rod with one hand while the other was holding a cup of tea. "Life is good now. To be honest, anything that isn't related to my past life is already good enough. And I wouldn't have thought I would have a wife, but here I am, already having a beautiful wife and kids in my multiverse. What about you?"
I was reeling in my fishing rod, catching myself a small goldfish. "Yeah, it's good for you, buddy. With me though? Nothing much really; just stay in a universe where all the members of the authorverse live. Some of them still continue living while others leave their legacy behind."
Yaldabaoth then reels up a very big fish with spiky fins and a sharp mouth. "It seems like everything is still as normal as it can be, huh? I'm not surprised though; the Authorverse may look harmless at first glance, but it is the sole reason why we and many other powerful entities exist."
I then slowly reel up a golden bass and put it into my bucket. "Yeah, it is. But I have to admit, living a life there has made me realize many things and helped me see the world around us more clearly."
He then looked at me when I said that; he then put down his fishing rod and poured himself a cup of tea. He then took a sip from it. "Oh really? Tell me then, what have you learned from there?"
I then just smile gently at him while also putting my fishing rod down and taking a sip of tea. "The world around us always works in a way that always tries to oppose us; it depends on us to succumb to it or rise back up and overcome those hardships and challenges. It's also made me realize that no matter in which universe, there will always be conflict and chaos. No matter how hard we try to stop it, it'll rise back up again. A perfect peaceful world was never the true answer; it's just a peaceful moment."
Yaldabaoth just laughed heartily at my answer. "You are right, my Lord. But you are also wrong. What you said just now only applies to the bigger picture; if you apply that logic to the smaller part of that picture, you will see true peacefulness. It also depends on the sentient species of that world or universe; their choice will lead them to either chaos or peace. Only they can answer that question themselves."
I then laugh with him. "You are right, Yal. Each world or universe has their own definition of peace and chaos, and it's not up to us to determine it. Also Yal."
He then answered my call. "Yeah, Lord Duc?"
I then scratch my head and face while looking at him. "Do you know who starts the whole protagonist having system and becomes more powerful, or in similar cases?"
Yaldabaoth then turns to me and looks at me weirdly. "Why do you want to ask that?"
I just shrug my shoulder at him. "From the world that I used to live in, there is a bunch of fiction novels and fanfiction that use systems to power up the protagonist. I also see there are many kinds of systems too."
Yaldabaoth just stretched his lips into a straight line and scratched his head nervously. "That, I don't know. Maybe you can ask my wife; that sounds like something she knows very well."
"What I know very well, hubby?" A female voice can be heard behind us; we then turn our heads around and see a woman walking toward us. When Yaldabaoth sees that woman, he jumps out of the chair and hugs the woman tightly like Koala. "Mekky." The woman then hugged him back and smiled at him. "Husband, you don't have to get excited every time you see me; beside you are embarrassing me in front of the Lord."
I then smile gently at her and shake my head. "You don't have to do that; beside, I love seeing you guys like this; it warms my heart knowing that my friends are happy."
This woman is Mekkhane, who is also used to be a false god just like Yaldabaoth. Now she is also like Yaldabaoth, an omniversal class entity that governs her own complex multiverse. Hers is vastly different from her husband's; it mostly relies on very advanced technology to progress further. This version of her is very different from her counterpart; she didn't see Yaldabaoth as something disgusting, but she sees him as a fellow false god. As her apperance, she is as tall as Yaldabaoth, her figure is quite slim yet she is very good looking. Many parts of her body are cybernetic from her arms to her legs. And her eyes is the most unique one, each eyes have many gears that are rotating are surrounding a neon blue iris.
She then sat down where Yaldabaoth just sat while still letting him hug her; she then picked up his cup of tea and took a sip. "There are many types of systems, but there are some types that are very easy to identify. The most common ones are the sign-in system and the quest system. There are also some unique ones, like the complaint system, cracked system, or cheat system. These are just some of the specific systems; if we are talking about the general type of system, then there are three types: the neutral system, which is only focused on giving out quests to its host, and it gives out not-too-severe punishment, like decreasing its host's stat or transporting them into a punishment space where they have overcome a challenge so that they can make up for not doing the quest.
The next one is the system that many hate the most, which is the parasitic type of system. These types of systems will attach themselves to a suitable host and give out quests that relate to their situation. Although it may seem ordinary and the reward may look good, it isn't. If their host doesn't complete the quest that it gave out, it will kill its host and absorb everything that their host used to have and go find a different host. These types of systems can also be used as monitors so that those higher up can observe the world that they govern.
The next type of system is the unique one. These types of systems are very rare; they can range from plain old helping tools that will help their host become stronger to even very ridiculous ones like that one that instantly modifies their host stats or gives out overpowering items. These systems are mainly the creations of some bored entities or creators that just want some entertainment in their boring lives."
I then summon Tree and pat its head gently. "Then, what about Tree? What kind of system is she?" I ask Mekkhane.
She then looks at the pixelated Tree that is currently enjoying head pats. "She is a unique system, but unlike other systems. She is one of a kind; she can help you in many ways, like assist when you need some help or even save you in some dangerous situation, like when your life is threatened. She also has many features that other systems have, like a wheel of fortune where, if you are lucky enough, you can get some useful items. She won't give you any powerful items though, because it will ruin your growth and progress toward becoming stronger. She can also absorb other systems and gain their powers and abilities. And the best part is that she is a part of you once you accept to be her master, so other types of systems cannot detect her no matter how hard they try. And if we put her on the ranking, then she is an outerversal class entity."
I then look at the small pixelated that is enjoying my headpat. "I did not expect her to be that powerful. But then again, she is indeed a creation of a monocosm class entity." I then look at her and smile gently. "Please take care of me from on."
Tree then flew up to my head and sat on top of it; she then let out a smile and giggle. "I will take good care of you, master."
Mekkhane then takes out two cards that have the same texture and material, like the soul card that Librarian gave me earlier. "Here are our soul cards; with these, you can communicate with us anytime you want."
I then took the card and gave it to Tree; she then put them inside her inventory, and notifications popped up. "Due to having contact and interacting with High Elder God Mekkhane and High Elder God Yaldabaoth. Master has unlocked some mods; these mods are Thorium (10%), Calamity (50%), Calamity Infernum (50%), Wrath of The Gods (10%), Calamity Overhaul (50%), Fargo's Mutant, Fargo's Soul (50%), Fargo's Soul DLC (50%), Fargo Equipable Inventory (20%), The Star Above (20%), and Magic Storage."
I look at the notification in front of me in surprise. 'I didn't think I could unlock this much mod, but it seems like I need to interact with the other council member if I want to unlock the complete ones.'
I then stand and stretch a little. "Welp, thanks for having me here. I'm going to the higher floor. Do you guys want to come?"
Yaldabaoth then finally let go of Mekkhane and pulled me into a bear hug. "We would love to, but we have something that needs to be done first. Hope you have a lucky journey, Lord Duc." After saying he then released me from the hug, Mekkhane then also stood up, but this time she then climbed onto his back and hugged him from behind. "Good luck on your journey, Lord Duc." I then wave them goodbye and start heading to the higher floor.
