Chapter 29 - Forgiveness

Right after the battle as Lenin returns to his castle, while drowning in grief over the lose of his uncle he realised something.

He rushed towards the chamber of a certain someone.

He knocks but gets no response.

He enters and sees Angus in the balcony. As she was lost in her thoughts, Lenin approachs her,

"Hey..... Angus.."

Angus snaps out of her daze, "oh Lenin sorry I didn't notice you. When did you come ?"

" It's ok , I just arrived.. I have something I want to say."

Lenin couldn't look her in the eyes. How could he afterall he had done to her over no fault of her own...

As he keeps staring at the tiles , Angus breaks the silence, "Hmm, the tiles sure are very nice aren't they?"

After hearing this, it works in breaking the tension as both of them start chuckling.

After this, Lenin finally feels comfortable, he looks in her eyes and apologizes.

" Angus... I know I can't erase my past mistakes. And I have no right to even ask for forgiveness but if you could...

Please forgive me. I am your culprit and I won't run away from your judgement . I should have trusted you , but I was too blinded by my anger."

Upon hearing all this Angus just looks at him with doe eyes,

" Woah, you really did had a lot to speak didn't you.....

And when it comes to forgiveness you shouldn't worry that much. I forgive you... I mean in all honesty if I was in your place I would've done the same. You did what seem like the right choice at the moment."

Lenin somewhat relieved but also pretty surprised asked her " But you must feel a little resentment over what I did to you ?"

" There is no point, lamenting over the past. What's done is done. The best we can do is start over.

And also I am very strong and courageous."

Lenin was confused.

" My mother used to say, forgiveness is something only a strong person can do. Forgiveness is the best part of valor...Discretion is easy. It's finding the courage to forgive that is hard."

" Your mother , she must be a very strong woman."

" She was....

Also I know it doesn't mean much but please forgive me aswell.

For the actions of my father and over the lose of your uncle"

"It's ok. You know uncle really liked you"

Angus was happy to hear that,

" He was a very amiable person."

Lenin with a bettersweet smile agrees "He was...."
