Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 Dead?

In a panic, Shoi tried to step back quietly, but the floor creaked beneath him.

as a ninja she should have detected have but it might be because of his chakra that he is kind of invincible.

Hinata stiffened, her head turning slightly, her pale eyes widening in alarm as she realized someone was there. Her cheeks flushed instantly, her body freezing as she made eye contact with him through the steam.

"S-Shoi?!" Hinata stammered, her voice a mixture of shock and embarrassment.

Her hands instinctively clutched the towel against her chest, though it barely covered her.

The rest of her body was mostly hidden by the steam, but Shoi's gaze caught glimpses of her soft, exposed skin. His heart pounded, his face burning with shame.

He gulped, his eyes lingering for a moment too long on her curves before he snapped back to reality, horrified. "I-I didn't know you were—!"

As Shoi moved to leave, he suddenly slipped on the wet floor. Instinctively, Hinata reached out to catch him, but her towel slipped from her hands as she lost her balance. In a tangle of limbs, both of them fell to the floor with a thud.

Shoi found himself lying on top of Hinata, his hands bracing her head to protect her from the impact, his body pressed against hers.

She was completely soaked from the bath, her bare skin warm beneath him.

The towel lay discarded on the floor, and in the sudden closeness, he could feel the rapid rise and fall of her chest as she breathed in short, panicked breaths.

His face was inches from hers, and for a split second, his gaze dropped to her body—her soft, wet skin glistening in the steam.

He could feel her warmth, her curves, and he swallowed hard, his mind struggling to process the situation.

She looked so much more mature, her body fuller than what he had imagined, and the moment seemed to stretch on far too long.

Hinata, finally coming to her senses, felt something pressing against her thigh. Her face flushed an even deeper shade of red as she realized what it was.

"I-I'm so sorry!" Shoi blurted, his face inches from hers, desperately trying to avert his gaze but too close to fully look away. The steam wrapped around them, making the air thick with awkward tension.

"S-Shoi?!" Hinata stammered, her face flushed crimson. Her embarrassment quickly turned into mortified horror as the realization hit her—Shoi had seen her in a state of undress.

Her hands trembled, clutching the towel to her chest, but her face hardened in panic.

"You…!" she gasped, her eyes narrowing in a mixture of shock and shame. Without thinking, her instincts as a kunoichi kicked in, her body reacting before her mind could catch up. "You saw… you have to pay for this!"

Before Shoi could even form a word of apology, she attacked. Hinata, in her sudden fury, launched a strike with her Byakugan-activated Gentle Fist.

Her chakra flared as she sent a blast of energy directly at him, her hands moving with lightning speed.

"Wait—!" Shoi barely had time to raise his arms before her palm made contact with his chest.

Boom!

The force of her attack sent Shoi flying across the bathhouse, crashing into the wall with a sickening thud. The impact was far stronger than she intended, and Shoi's body crumpled to the floor, gasping for breath.

His vision blurred, pain radiating through his entire body. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as he struggled to stay conscious.

Hinata stood frozen, her hands still raised, her breath caught in her throat. "W-Wha...?" Panic surged through her, the realization of what she'd just done hitting her like a wave.

Shoi wasn't moving. Had she killed him?

Her thoughts spiraled out of control.

"If he dies... what will I tell Father? What will I tell Hanabi?" Her chest tightened, and she dropped to her knees, shaking Shoi's shoulder in a desperate attempt to wake him.

But Shoi remained motionless, his face pale and his breathing shallow. Hinata's heart raced, her mind flashing through the consequences of her rash actions. If he didn't survive this, she had no idea how she'd explain it.

"Please, please don't be dead," she whispered, her voice trembling.

Without wasting any more time, she scrambled to her feet and quickly grabbed her clothes, dressing herself in record time.

Her heart pounded in her chest as she threw her robes on, barely managing to fasten them properly as she knelt back beside Shoi, her eyes wide with fear.

"I-I didn't mean to… I just…" she muttered, her voice cracking.

Hinata's hands glowed faintly as she activated her basic medical ninjutsu, channeling her chakra to assess the damage she had done.

Her fingers hovered over his chest, where her attack had landed. His ribs were bruised, and the blow had caused internal bleeding—far more damage than she had intended.

pressing her hands against his chest, pouring her chakra into his body to stabilize him.

Her mind raced, trying to focus despite her overwhelming guilt.

The color slowly began to return to Shoi's face as Hinata worked, her chakra flowing through him, knitting his damaged tissue and easing his pain.

But she knew she couldn't fully heal him here. She needed help—medical ninjas, someone more skilled than her.

As Shoi stirred slightly, a soft groan escaping his lips, Hinata's heart skipped a beat. He was alive, but still in pain.

Shoi's eyes fluttered open weakly, his gaze unfocused. He tried to speak, but his throat was too dry.
