Chereads / How to Survive in Unknown Girl's Battlefield / Chapter 2 - Start By Certain Bang!

Chapter 2 - Start By Certain Bang!

So how it all began?

Upon awaken to this unfamiliar world, it felt that I had been asleep for a long time.

However, that transition as Corrin wasn't smooth one to say at least because I'm of those characters who were very late bloomers in recalling their memory.....

Amnesia.

Yes. I forgot everything in my past life including the narrative of the game during this transition which the very mistake that I can't fully control.

But, anyway back to my story.

I found myself submerged myself into deep slumber inside the comfortable, a bit bumpy carriage ride towards the Valhailm City.

Compare to myself from the other boys in the same age, I was very frail young boy; my body felt weak and clumsy that my arms and muscle were lacking in strength.

My attempts to awaking up in the morning were impossible— I was low blood, in every sense of the word.

As I struggled to awake, but someone patted me on the head that prevent myself to fully awake. Voice clamored around me as they were discussed that something important.

"How was His Highness's well-being, Father?" Someone asked, her words were mingling with curiosity as she kept patting my head.

She was my mother, Celestina Ashfallen. A talented mage when she young noblewoman during her time in the Academy, after she was married to my father and gave birth to Corrin; she become warm-loving mother and wife.

Amidst the silence, an erderly man was sat in front of me and my mother was my grandfather named Laurel, speaking in a language that I don't recognize. Despite the lack of comprehension, I could remember that his words sense the excitement hangs in the air.

"He's was quite well as ever."

The elder's gesture were animated, his expression were filled with joy.

Even though his words were foreign. To me, I found myself understood his words on a deeper level— a small blessing in the midst of my disorientation.

I was around 6 at that time.

He explained to us that the empire maintains its prosperity even when its domain were exposed to the threat of demon beast. It's was thanks to the might of King Ambrosia's Army could be able to maintain. But, such might cannot be lasted forever and upon proclaimed a royal decree to all nobleman include grand duke, Rommel Gloryfield– a name that commanded reverence and fear.

Tasked to raise more knights to fight against the demon beast, in turn the empire was given a splendid speech to convince it's citizen to join the ranks and large sum of money to the Academy.

For which we are moving towards a small county in the outskirts of Valhailm City it's was because my father was promoted from baron to count and was given the same task to truly come to terms with our new reality.

It was the place scarcely mentioned in the annals of the original game, a hidden gem is what I could describe as tucked away from the spotlight.

Over those four years, under the cozy walls of our new home; I was been made a conscious effort to embracing of handling a sword under strict guidance of my grandfather who were once former nobleman.

And there was my mother from afar, watching her beloved son's training under the tutelage of her father while his husband guarding the border and raise more knights for the king's decree. However I still can't recall my memories of past life and the game at that time.

But really, what choice did I have? I have awoken to this world as Corrin late in this chapter without any logic or reason.

Might as well roll with it.

Armed with the knowledge that to become a distinguished knight and nobleman that awaited this young child in the near future. Unknowningly that future was only fraught with misery and pain.

Nestled down lay a small quaint county in the outskirts of the empire, despite the noble lineage in its origin, we humbly blend into background and live a quiet life.

Unlike those aristocrats living in the King's Capital, draped in opulence and riches, our humble domain was found simplicity as our own contentment despite were living in the little corner of the world, we rely our needs on our modest farms and fertile land.

Even though the population of our domain were sparse compared from other cities, the warmth and endless smile on the people living here were filled with a sense of belonging.

In this secluded haven, demon beast and ruins were down to just mere tales of legends, absent from our tranquil lives.

It's was all thanks to the unwavering protection of my father, Gray Ashfallen that preventing any demon beast penetrate our mighty walls of the empire.

But it wasn't his authority alone that gave the prosperity and peace; rather, it was given by the order from the grand duke, Rommel Gloyfield himself was made it all truly possible.

Gloryfield.... Oh what a joy upon hearing a name that I couldn't help but dread, for I know all too well the significance it held. So I will giving you a slight info before we continue.

In the depths of the game lore, it carries the weights of a grand counterpart as you all knew the only person who bares that name in this world, Aria Gloryfield; grand duke's one and only daughter including being a saintess and one of the deathflags of my very own world.

She was destined to bring the world to a bright future and tragically, she was also fated to be my beloved lover in the near future— a future who would, without any hesitation to snuffing out my life away the moment she fell for the main protagonist of this world.

The game itself offered little insights into the complexities involving Corrin and Aria's relationship.

To the very few players who played and finished this game. We practically have no idea nor background information its reason behind their romantic story.

To our knowledge that Corrin– was nothing more but disposable character, an inconsiquential villain thrown into the narrative to highlight Aria's formidable nature but also her Yandere tendencies.

And now, why am I telling you all of this, thrusting into a role of an disposable villain would grappling with the harsh reality of my existence inside the world of the game I've played.

That was why I spared no effort in telling all of this given my family's modest background, the likelihood of any interaction with the Gloryfield household seemed as slim as a stick in a haystack, didn't it?

So this is part where we continue...

For the past four years, upon before that I have reached the age of 10, I diligently toiled myself in maintaining my sword training.

Our humble family were still maintained a status quo in the empire, often found contentment living our lives without any desire improving our wealth nor influence despite being part of the nobility.

Everything seemed going to be okay– the only I would do was to prepared myself to become great knight in their future, resolved to stay and protect the confines of our county, shielded from the tumultuous currents of the outside world.

But now, looking back to this, I realized that this moment was the mistake would start my tale. It seem God was played me with a trickster role, weaving its tapestry of fate with threads that are beyond of my control.

As the events preluding before the narrative began as beyond the borders of our humble county remained elusive. Carrying it's whispers on the wind, beyond my reach and apprehension.

As there were certain forces at play that even I could never fathom to intervened as were already too late as the day of reckoning were coming to me, prepared or not.

That is my tenth birthday- a day that would shatter a mundane life.

On that fateful day, my grandfather invite his old friend to graced my celebration with their presence, there I gracely meet this young girl, timid yet so radiant in ethereally beauty that aura alone would me believe that she was born of royal lineage.

"Corrin, I would like you to meet lady Aria." The words were like radiant star upon my ears...

Haha.... I couldn't still believe I say those words at that time. Really.

I was so preoccupied with my brain being amnesiac mode that until this very moment, I don't even bother to notice that I was gonna meet the saintess on my tenth birthday.

Not to mention, that both my grandfather and grand duke's father were once military comrades in the past, who would've thought about that!

"It is a great honor, lady Aria."

"Y –yeah....me too as well."

"Ohh that's my grandson ya HAHAHA!" My grandfather's teasing tone were grating on my nerves, his twisting words makes the atmosphere around us were tenser than before.

"Hohoho, these two look good together. What about it, young Corrin? Care to give my granddaughter some love?" Aria's grandfather were also joining in the teasing that made girl's expression have hint of red on her face.

The idea of these old people being teased alongside this young girl was bad enough, but back then, at that moment with the way they saying makes my ears tinged beeting red.

"Shut up you old geezers!!!" I shouted and quickly take her away from them as we make to the garden.

"HAHAHA!!!" Both my grandfather and Aria's grandfather were laughed as I glance them from behind while taking Aria to the garden to avoid all the teasings.

"I'm sorry about that, lady Aria. My grandfather just like to tease me all the time." I apologize, offered a polite bow.

Her aura at that time were completely different than what she emitted would trigger my fear and apprehension in the present.

After all, this young girl standing before me was entirely innocent, right?

She responded by simply nodded; her gaze were unwavering as she continue to study me intently while touring her around the garden.

"You're not afraid of me?" She asked, her voiced laced with a hint of curiosity as she tilt her head.

"Why should I be?" I replied, attempt a wry smile to reassure her that I'm quite casual person.

In truth, I was still in amnesia to be afraid of her. If I wasn't probably wouldn't be able to answer so casually like that, for reasons that were too numerous to count.

She chuckled, a melodic sound can passing upon my ears as she hums, soothing the awkwardness between us.

Looking back, the next moment was likely the catalyst for both mine and Aria's paths to intersect and become interwined tightly.

"Hey! Corrin, come over here."

How I would have never thought just from that single call alone could change everything including the reasons of little insights behind Corrin and Aria's relationship in the game.

"Okay! Wait for me here, lady Aria."

"Y –yeah..."

When the moment that I ran towards the single call, the realization hit me like a ton of bricks —I was been struck down by a rock that have been slingshot from a far distance.

"Corrin!!!"

And next, another bang sound went before my eyes as I hit my head to a rock for a second time, and this time was the turning point in which my tale actually begins....

[The System will conduct a Sleep Mode]

[Duration: 1 Day]

I can't quite recall what transpired after my blackout as the system was interjected my memories; it felt more like a plunge into darkness.

Passing through them all was slow like I was found myself submerged beneath the murky waters of a deep, black lake.

As I struggled to swim my towards the surface, my attempts were futile as my body were heavy lacking the necessary strength to propel me upwards.

It was as though I was trapped in a nightmare, unable to break free from the suffocating embrace of the water as it was pulling me in deeper into the darkness.

However the voice upon my ears were urging myself to propel upwards, breaking away as rising urge to breathe was coming into me.

Then, a flash of light dominated by view and brought with it a stark understanding that was back again to this world after a single day including my new reality as finally remembered my past. Voice glamored around me, urgent and alarmed.

"Oh my god, he's awake!", someone exclaimed, their words mingling with calls for medical assistance.

The impending chaos around me at that moment was served a jarring reminder of just how far and long I had strayed from the familiar comforts of my old life.

Amidst the confusion, an young girl stood by my bedside, speaking gibberish as it was only whisper. Despite the surrounding chaos, I could clearly sense a relief in the air.

"Corrin you're alive~"

The girl's gesture were animated. Her expression were filled with joy.

However...

"Aria...!"

With each passing moment, I felt the weight of the circumstance was now pressing down on me, suffocating me with the knowledge of what was to come.

It was then that I fully understood the depths of my predicament, and the realization hit me like a ton of bricks —I was utterly fucked.

Back then, on the day of my tenth birthday was shrouded in dark clouds and rain, reality was struck me like a lightning bolt.

In the midst of the downpour, I witnessed a scene that shattered my illusions –a scene that revealed the true nature of the girl I had come to care during the time when I was playing the game.

While my body was still laid on the wet ground... I saw her, in cold blood butchered one of those unknown people.

As her blonde hair were replaced by a white hair like eternal snow and;

As her pale blue eyes were none-existent, it was replaced by deep, red scarlet; sucking out them dry off their blood.

That's impossible... She was but another innocent young girl the same age as me.

"Gaia to Corrin, you hear me.... Are you okay?"

Aria's voice broke through the trance, pulling me back to the present.

"No....nothing."

My voice were quivering, barely above a whisper.

"Is that so? Corrin you weirdo fufu~"

"....Yeah."

"Let me feed you, Corrin. You need regain your lost strength."

The way she acted so nonchalantly made my stomach churn in disgust.... And I knew from the way she looked at me that she aware that I saw.

As I force myself to eat despite my loss appetite, Aria's expression were filled joy as she hums; this time however, hearing her melodic sound that sent shivers down to my spine.
