Chapter 1 - Love in the air

It was a warm summer evening in the bustling city of New York. The sun had just set, casting a golden glow over the towering skyscrapers. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the sound of chirping birds. Amidst this picturesque backdrop, two strangers were about to cross paths and change each other's lives forever.

Ava, a successful event planner in her late 20s, was rushing to meet a potential client at a trendy rooftop bar in Manhattan. She had spent hours preparing for this meeting, rehearsing her pitch and perfecting her presentation. Her phone buzzed with a text from her best friend, Rachel: "Good luck, Ava! You got this!"

As she stepped out of the elevator, Ava collided with a handsome stranger, spilling her coffee all over his crisp white shirt. "Oh no, I'm so sorry!" Ava exclaimed, mortified.

The stranger smiled and helped Ava gather her belongings. "It's okay, I needed a caffeine break anyway," he said with a chuckle.

As they introduced themselves, Ava couldn't help but notice the stranger's piercing blue eyes and chiseled features. His name was Max, a freelance writer working on his first novel. They exchanged numbers, and Max offered to buy Ava a drink to make up for the spilled coffee.

As they sipped their drinks and talked, Ava felt an undeniable connection with Max. They shared stories, laughed, and discovered a shared love for literature and adventure. The night wore on, and Ava realized she had forgotten about her meeting.

"Max, I'm so sorry, but I have to go," Ava said reluctantly.

Max walked Ava out of the bar and hailed a taxi. As they stood on the sidewalk, he turned to her and said, "I had an amazing time tonight, Ava. Would you like to grab coffee with me again tomorrow?"

Ava's heart skipped a beat. "I'd love to," she said, smiling.

As they parted ways, Ava couldn't shake off the feeling that she had just met someone special. She felt a spark of excitement, a sense of possibility that she hadn't felt in a long time.

The next day, Ava found herself daydreaming about Max. She wondered what he was doing, what he was writing, and what he was thinking. She felt a connection with him that she couldn't explain, a sense of familiarity that went beyond their chance encounter.

As she sat at her desk, staring blankly at her computer screen, Rachel noticed her distraction. "Hey, Ava, what's on your mind? You've been daydreaming for hours."

Ava blushed, feeling caught. "Just thinking about a guy I met last night," she admitted.

Rachel's eyes widened. "Spill the details!"

And Ava found herself recounting every detail of her encounter with Max, from the spilled coffee to their shared laughter and connection.
