Chapter 31 - Movie date

Ma'am, Mr Wills is waiting for you at the cinema room' a staff said. Okay' I replied and followed her behind.

As I walked into the cinema room, My jaw dropped open. The room was decorated with lots of flowers and balloons with a personalized banner "Happy honeymoon" hung above the screen.

Are you just going to stand there? Remember I'm staying for two hours' I heard him say and I walked in as he guided me to our seats. Logan when did you set the place up? I asked and he stared at the screen not responding.

The lights dimmed and the movie began. La la land' began it's romantic spell around us. As the movie went on, Logan's arm wrapped around my shoulders pulling me close, his eyes were still on the screen. For a fleeting moment, I forgot about the contract and the pretend romance.

As the movie reached its climax, my eyelids began to droop. But exhaustion claimed me as my lashes fluttered shut and my head relaxed on Logan's breaded shoulder.

Logan's was still focused on the screen, then he drifted his head to his wife knowing she can't be quiet.

His expression remained impassive yet a flicker of surprise danced in his eyes. "She begs me to watch a movie with her and now she's asleep" Logan chuckled at his thoughts.

Logan adjusted his jacket to gently drape over Marley's shoulder shielding her from the cinema's chill.

He kept staring at her delicate features, Logan stared at her lips and his chest tightened at the sight. He hadn't expected to find her so beautiful, his fingers brushed against her hair gently.

Marley stirred, her eyes fluttering open, their gazes met and Logan flipped his hands. I'm sorry I slept off' she said softly.

It's okay, No need to apologize, the movie is over and I'm leaving now.

Logan wait' I stopped him from leaving. What is it this time Marley? He said.

Without thinking straight, I placed my lips on his. The kiss was soft, fleeting yet electric.

My heart pounded, "what have I done" I thought to myself. Logan's expression still remained the same as he left.
