Since I was a kid, I had always dreamed of being a hero. The kind that wouldn't falter under any circumstances and would always push forward, So I became a detective. I was really good at my job and was even able to be a Detective Chief Inspector, but mere rank didn't help with the guilt I carried because of this job.

"Detective chief Inspector, there's been a suicide case in the 22rd street, and apparently it's a really strange case because instead of a will the victim left behind this strange note, could you take a look?"

While I was savoring the taste of my new smoke a lieutenant suddenly handed me a note.

"Destruction is the only truth left. It's coming, and nothing will stop it."

As soon as I saw the note my head begun to spin.

"Detective Chief Inspector what happened? Someone help!"

And I blacked out.

As I opened my eyes again I was in a lavish room with all kinds of grand decorations and furnitures.

'Where am i?'

The room itself was strange, but after looking outside the window the situation became even confusing.

'A castle? And why is there people practicing swordsmanship at this age? Have I been transported to some ancient kindom?'

As questions rose I went to take a look in the mirror to make sure one thing.

What awaited me when i took a look in the mirror was a boy around the age of 16 with pitch black hair and a light greyish eyes. His white complexion was completely smooth and he had a lean muscular build.

"So have I been Reincarnated…"

It's certainly strange but since I was a fiction novel addict when I was a kid I could somehow make out what was happening right now.

"Young master, Patriach has demanded your presence in the dining hall."

Just as I was pondering about what to do next a soft and polite voice called out to me.

"Ah, I'll be there shortly."

'I'm royally fucked for sure. They wouldn't notice me being different and send me to the abyss of azkaban or exorcise me in the cruelest way possible right?'

'I have gather information somehow.'

"Butler, your presence is needed here."

"Coming young master."

As the butler came into the room I, seated on the chair adviced him to take a seat in front of me.

"So butler, I have had a really tiring weekend and it's caused me to lose some of my memories lately."

"Oh god! Should I call the priest for you young master?"

"I'm not at the point where I'd need a priest, I just want you to tell me Who am I and what my family members names are."

"Then young master your name is Kael Grimvale, your a heir to the Great Duke family of Brittain. Patriach's name is Roderick Grimvale and your younger brother's name is Elias Grimvale. You're 16 years old and in 3 days you'll leave for the humanities greatest academy "Nexus".

"Okay got it I'll inquire you about more things tonight so you can leave now."

"Got it young master, make sure to go to the dinner hall."

The old butler's eyes slightly narrowed as he looked at me one last time before going out of the room. After the butler I made my way to the dinner hall.

"My lovely son come take a seat."

As I entered the dinner hall, dishes of all kind were at the table with a middle aged skinny man seated at the front of the table with a kid that's similar to him on his right.

"How's your soul ability progress going? Did you acquire a ability yet?" Man asked with a excited look

"It's the same as usual."

"Don't be too down, there's still time for you son."

My father from earth was very quiet person so the dinner table was very silent following that so talking nonstop on a dinner table like this felt really awkward. Can't say that I didn't enjoyed it though.

After dinner I got into a shower and called the butler. I was nervous because he could notice that i'm not Kael but a different person, but I'm in power now.

"I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me everything about how I was and that thing called soul ability. And if you tell anybody that I asked this, just know you wouldn't see the light of the day tomorrow."

"There's no need to be aware of me, my lord. Mana is this world's energy and you actually had a talent for using mana. But you couldn't get a soul ability until now, while the normal kids gets it around when they're 12. Soul abilities are a phenomenon that gives incredible powers and it's directly linked to the person's soul. Mana's are ranked from beginner 1 circle to Genesis 9 circle.You are one of the 4 duke families heir and following that expectations were high on you. But because of this everyone mocked you, but you still pushed on and young master is currently on 2nd circle with no soul ability."

"Appreciated you may rest now."

So everyone has different thing called "soul ability" that's linked to their soul, and he talked thing called mana let's just test it.

"I just have to focus right?"

I sat on the ground cross legged and closed my eyes. After some time very small bright particles could be felt in the air. That particles got sucked into my abdomen which had a ring with 2 circles surrounding it.

As I focused more I was able to move that particle through my blood and concentrated it all on my right hand, and as I opened my eyes there was a white wave surrounding my hand.

"Interesting I'll learn about that thing called soul ability tomorrow, let's just rest for now."

The bed was really comfortable as expected of a duke's palace.

"My body's switched so I hope I wouldn't get that same dream today."
