"Fire Style – Fireball Jutsu!!!"
In the backyard of the Fūka residence, Obito puffed up his cheeks and blew air desperately towards the front, but despite his face turning blue and his eyes whitening, no sparks appeared.
"Damn it, why can you succeed while I can't?" Obito huffed, looking dejected.
Beside him, Fūka, with his arms crossed, teased, "Obito, you're doing it wrong. First, you need to gather enough chakra. Secondly, your hand seals are not standard; you're messing up the last two seals. Even if you meet those conditions, you still need continuous practice to succeed. After all, Fireball Jutsu is a unique Uchiha technique; it's named that way for a reason."
"Fūka, you bastard." Obito glared at him, feeling frustrated. Just a few days ago, they were both at the bottom of their class, but now Fūka, the so-called 'experienced driver,' had suddenly pulled ahead, leaving Obito feeling outpaced.
"Eh, I just spent the time you wasted chasing girls on training," Fūka said with a satisfied grin, showing the demeanor of a skilled master.
Obito's frustration grew. He clenched his fists and shouted, "No way! Starting today, I'm going to train with you!"
"Suit yourself, but I have to warn you, training is dull and tedious. You need to be mentally prepared!" Fūka said seriously.
"Of course. I'm going to become Hokage!" Obito roared, showing a Naruto-like determination.
Later, Fūka made some braised pork, making three servings—one for each of them and one for Obito's grandmother. Unfortunately, due to her old age, she couldn't chew it, so it ended up in the bellies of the two boys.
"I'm so full," Obito said, lying on the ground with a satisfied expression, rubbing his stomach.
Fūka, having eaten a lot of braised pork and feeling energized, kicked Obito lightly and said, "It's not time for a break. Obito, get up! We need to start training!"
"Huh? Now? My stomach hasn't even digested yet," Obito complained, feeling lazy.
"Practicing hand seals won't affect your digestion," Fūka dragged him to the yard and pushed him to practice hand seals.
Of course, Fūka wasn't idle either; he was practicing as well.
However, their practice focused on different aspects.
Obito worked on making his hand seals standard, while Fūka focused on increasing the speed of his hand seals on top of making them standard!
As the saying goes, "No comparison, no harm." Obito struggled through his practice, watching Fūka's hand seals with tears almost welling up.
"Fūka, when did your hand seal speed get so fast, and so precise!"
Fūka glanced at him and sighed, "Fast? My current seal speed is only 1.5 seconds per seal."
"That's fast?!" Obito rolled his eyes. He couldn't even complete a standard seal in a second.
"Compared to you now, of course, it's fast. But my goal isn't just to be faster than you," Fūka said, looking deeply at Obito.
Obito felt uneasy under Fūka's gaze and awkwardly changed the topic, "By the way, Fūka, are we going to practice hand seals all afternoon?"
"Of course!" Fūka affirmed.
"Ugh, this is so boring!" Obito was already struggling to keep up, especially with his hands feeling like they were cramping.
"Hang in there, Obito. Didn't you say you wanted to be Hokage? If you can't endure this small hardship, how can you earn everyone's recognition and become Hokage?" Fūka fed him a motivational speech, "Even if you work hard, you might never become Hokage."
"Damn it, I'll become Hokage and show you!"
In the end, Obito managed to stick with it for two hours before his hands cramped up, and he had to leave.
In the small yard, only Fūka remained.
"Is it my body?"
Fūka practiced until evening and found that his hand seal speed still wouldn't improve, remaining steady at 1.5 seconds per seal.
In the future, Uchiha Itachi's hand seal speed was six seals per second, so fast that even Kakashi's Sharingan couldn't keep up!
"Ah, progress takes time. Rushing won't help."
In the evening, Fūka continued his training. Climbing trees and walking on water had become easy for him, so he shifted to practicing kunai and shuriken.
Fūka's parents were Chūnin, and they had plenty of kunai and shuriken at home, though their quality was average.
Thunk, thunk!
In the yard, Fūka looked at the kunai stuck in the tree trunk and sighed. His first attempt had failed.
He then threw shuriken, which also slid off the tree trunk.
Fūka furrowed his brows as he retrieved the kunai and shuriken, throwing them again and again until he managed to hit the tree trunk and scrape off a bit of bark.
Two hours later, Fūka had figured out the characteristics of kunai and shuriken. Although he wasn't at the level of mastering them completely, he was already very familiar with their use.
Whoosh!
Kunai spun through the air, making a noise as it embedded firmly in the tree trunk.
"Success!"
Fūka was thrilled and continued to push himself, gradually progressing from one kunai to two kunai at once, and eventually to three kunai. The difficulty increased little by little, but Fūka didn't feel any obstacles.
His hands were incredibly precise, perfectly controlling every muscle to sense each kunai's release moment. This subtle feeling was mesmerizing and gratifying.
He also quickly mastered throwing shuriken, managing to throw three at once with each hitting the target accurately!
"Just…" Fūka frowned slightly, "It feels like something is off. What could it be?"
Fūka looked up at the moon in the night sky, then closed his eyes and savored the cool night breeze.
"Huh? It feels like someone is watching me?"
A strange sensation appeared in Fūka's mind.
"Is it because of the Fire Jutsu I used at noon?"
"But who could it be?"
"Anbu? Root? Or the Police Force?"
Fūka opened his eyes, yawned, and pretended to be tired as he went inside, turning off the lights and going to bed.
Outside, a Uchiha clan member with a pair of tomoe Sharingan watched Fūka until he was sure he was asleep, then turned and left.
...
"Hand seal speed of 1.5 seconds per seal, able to accurately throw three kunai or shuriken at once." Uchiha Yamano, captain of the Konoha Police Force, reviewed the report that came in late at night, contemplating, "The hand seal speed is average, but considering he's only six years old, let's give him an 80. Kunai and shuriken… in front of the Sharingan, it's nothing special. As of now, we still can't confirm if he's a true genius. We'll need to observe further."
Standing nearby, Uchiha Fugaku respectfully said, "Captain, I believe this child has great potential and is worth cultivating!"
Uchiha Yamano shook his head and said, "Fugaku, there's another descendant of Uchiha Kagami named Uchiha Shisui. Though he's only three years old, he's already showing extraordinary talent. Such a child is worth my attention!"
"I understand, Captain!" Uchiha Fugaku replied.
"Uchiha Shisui will be your responsibility. Make sure to train him well!" Uchiha Yamano instructed.
"I will fulfill the Captain's orders!" Uchiha Fugaku nodded firmly.
