Dear readers,
After much reflection, I have made the difficult decision not to continue with this novel. This project, though a significant learning experience for me, was my first foray into novel writing, and I recognize that it had its ups and downs. There were loose ends, moments where the development lacked coherence, and an approach that, over time, I felt I couldn't sustain in the long run. However, every mistake and every success in this story has taught me valuable lessons that I now want to apply to a new project.
For this reason, I have decided to embark on a new novel, one that will maintain the genre I love so much: epic fantasy with elements of historical and military fiction. It will retain the essence of what I enjoyed creating in this story—complex strategies, multifaceted characters, and a richly detailed world—but with a more solid structure, better-developed ideas, and a more polished narrative. This time, I want to explore fresh concepts, such as the evolution of societies in times of war, the intersection of magic and technology in a medieval world, and how the moral decisions of characters can alter the fate of entire civilizations.
Although this novel will not have a direct continuation, I promise you that the next work will be infused with the same intensity, depth, and passion that I poured into this one. Xu Anping and his struggle for a fairer world have left a mark on me, and that essence will remain present in what is to come. I hope you will join me on this new adventure, where together we can explore a completely new world, but with the same heart and spirit that has defined my writing so far.
