Ervan and Key also seemed to be calmly enjoying the food served by Ervan.
It seemed that Key was very satisfied to enjoy the varied food on the dining table this time, especially Ervan cooking her favourite western food, ranging from steak and many others.
Initially, Ervan cooked a lot like that just to prolong the time waiting for Key to wake up, because he admitted that he was not doing any activities, for that cooking made his activities fill his emptiness.
"It turns out you eat a lot too," Ervan said when he saw Key who had finished her steak and switched to eating the spaghetti that he also served on the dining table.
With a big smile, Key casually told Ervan that she would be able to eat a lot if it was served, especially since someone had cooked for her. She wouldn't waste food like that.
Ervan could only smile happily at Key's answer which meant that Key would always appreciate what others gave her.
"May I know what your father's name is?" asked Ervan suddenly as if he didn't know about Key's true identity.
For a moment, Key stopped eating. There was a doubt that she honestly didn't know if she should say the name of her biological father, or the father who had taken care of her temporarily.
She looked at Ervan's eyes carefully, confirming whether the young man in front of her was worthy of her trust and would not betray her or vice versa.
"Kenan Edelsteen," Key said.
Ervan, who honestly knew the name, immediately pretended to gasp in surprise at the name.
"Is your father a lecturer? It seems like a familiar name," Ervan asked Key.
Key quickly nodded her head and told Ervan that her father used to be a lecturer at Oxford University, where Key was studying.
"Really? So Prof Ken is your father?" asked Ervan.
A quick nod accompanied by a smile Ervan found on Key's face.
"Is uncle a student of Dad's?" asked Key this time.
Ervan immediately confirmed Key's words. He explained that he used to be his student, and even until he graduated he was still in good contact with Kenan, it was just that due to a condition that made him have to return to his country, and after that he lost contact with Kenan.
Key was happy and very excited to hear Ervan's story, even Key's gaze never stopped focusing on Ervan.
"Wait, what is uncle's full name?" asked Key, who slightly remembered her past, which several times Kenan did say a name.
Ervan happily told Key his full name.
"Ervan Galen Coen."
'Wait, could it be the name Al that daddy mentioned was Uncle Ervan?'
"Mmm, was Daddy called you, Al?' Key asked curiously.
Ervan was silent for a moment, and soon nodded his head.
It was true that Kenan used to call him that. The call Al was only made by Kenan, because the two of them were very close and Ervan was also the one who asked Kenan to call him that to be different from the others. A positive response was of course given by Kenan, and the man agreed to change Galen's nickname to Al.
There was a loud screech from Key accompanied by her chatter to Ervan saying that she didn't think that the world was really that narrow, she thought at first the phrase was just nonsense, but what happened now was the opposite.
It was true!
"Finish your food first, then go on a long rant like that," Ervan said as he cleaned up the messy leftovers at the corner of Key's lips.
Key nodded her head playfully as she continued her meal.
After finishing their meal, Ervan opened the conversation again. This time, Ervan just wanted to find out if Key knew about the project that her father used to work on or vice versa.
"Key, are you happy with the major you're taking, or are you comfortable while you're there?" Ervan asked, opening the conversation.
Without thinking Key nodded her head, in fact she seemed happy to answer him.
"Did your previous thesis get into trouble?"
For a moment Key remembered what Ervan had asked.
"Almost, but everything was resolved, even though I had a homework ."
'Homework?'
Key seemed to hesitate for an instant. Should she tell him?
"Just working on my professor's continued research. But don't worry, I don't mind."
For some reason, Key felt heavy-hearted telling Ervan that.
The look on Ervan's face changed right when Key said that, only for Ervan to realise it and change his mode back to a friendly face with Key.
He was annoyed at the lecturer Key was referring to, so it wouldn't be appropriate to show his annoyance at Key right?
"What's wrong uncle?"
Ervan quickly shook his head.
"If I ask who your lecturer is, will you tell me?"
Key hurriedly gave Ervan a smile without any explanation.
The girl was reluctant to tell Ervan.
Ervan furrowed his brow not understanding the smile Key gave him.
"Key?"
This time Ervan gave in, or rather temporarily relented. Not that Ervan really approved of Key's attitude of not telling him.
He needed to confirm his name!
Bzzt
The notification sounds and vibrations were quite distracting for Ervan.
For this reason, Ervan immediately paid attention to the contents of the message sent to him.
[URGENT! !
All Coen family members gather at the main residence on 5 September 24]
Ervan stared at his screen for a long time. It was unusual for his extended family to hold a sudden meeting. Usually, his family would inform him of the meeting two months or at the earliest a month in advance.
And this?
Why only five days? Is it really that urgent?
A question that immediately popped into his head.
"What's wrong uncle?" asked Key who was a little worried looking at Ervan.
Ervan looked at Key for a moment while ruffling his hair lightly, and soon he made a quick call to his secretary.
"Get information on the latest information that relates to my family or the company."
The secretary simply nodded before Ervan disconnected the phone just like that.
"That's okay, it's just that there's a problem I need to solve after this."
Key, who was resigned to not wanting to put Ervan in a corner, just said yes. After all, if Key insisted, the result would be no different.
That's her opinion!
After all, Key wasn't too close to Ervan, was she? So she didn't have a good reason to ask Ervan much.
At least Ervan had assured her that everything would be fine. So, Key should trust Ervan as someone who is much more mature than her, right?
