Gwen wrinkled her nose in disgust as she took another sip of the medicinal soup.
"Ughh, this is the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. Who even came up with this recipe?" she grumbled, making a face at the foul taste.
Sibby, who was sitting on the edge of the bed, chuckled, "Oh, come on, Gwen. It can't be that bad."
Rose stood near the bed, rolling her eyes as she teased, "It's not meant to taste good, Gwen. It's meant to help you heal your wounded body... and your wounded ego."
Gwen shot Rose a glare, clearly unamused by her teasing.
"My ego is doing just fine, thank you very much."
Lance, who had been standing by the window, chuckled at their exchange, "Oh, really? Because from where I stand, it looks like it's taking quite a hit right now."
