The next few days passed in a hurry. Derik always had new ways to drain Gwen out, and Gwen always had to push her limits during the training. Whenever Gwen would drain herself, Zyre would threaten Derik and all the professors in the university, all while Thorndyke and Saya would try to stop him.
Once, Zyre almost scorched Derik to ashes with his silvery fire. Almost.
The blonde guy managed to run off just in time but not before a part of his arm got burnt badly.
That day, Gwen laughed like never before.
After their makeout session, the relationship between her and Thorndyke grew a bit more complicated. He would cling to her throughout all their classes, and even in the cafeteria.
And whenever he got the chance, he would manage a few kisses now and then.
