Gwen finally pushed Thorndyke off her and straightened up on the bed. The situation was embarrassing the hell out of her at the moment and she began fumbling for a response to Rose's question.
"It's... complicated," Gwen finally managed to say, running a hand through her messy hair.
The others, sensing there was more to the story, waited expectantly for her to continue.
Thorndyke, however, wore a smug expression, his gaze fixated on Gwen. He was clearly enjoying watching her struggle to find the right words.
Rose looked confused, her gaze going back and forth between Gwen and Thorndyke.
"What do you mean 'complicated'?"
Meanwhile, Sibby just looked back and forth between Gwen and Thorndyke.
"You guys slept together, right?" she asked innocently as if that question didn't just turn Gwen's ears into a bright red shade.
Gwen shot Sibby a blistering glare.
"Not helping, Sibby!"
