As soon as Gwen stepped in the portal, the place around her changed.
She looked around, her eyes adjusting to the brightness and different terrain. The grass under her boots was greener and looked softer than the one on the other side. The trees surrounding them were denser, and the temperature was cooler under the shades.
"Well, that's a change," Gwen mumbled and looked at Tella who was beside her. "Where are we?"
Tella stood beside Gwen, her eyes darting around to analyze their surroundings. She took a deep breath and responded, "I believe this is the northern part of the valley. I think the flag is somewhere around here."
"Are you sure? I thought you weren't good at this portal stuff."
Tella sighed and shrugged.
"I did say that, didn't I? But I think I got the coordinates right this time…" she hesitated, staring at the distance with a frown, "Maybe."
