Gwen knocked at the door of Thorndyke's room, before twisting the knob and barging inside without a warning.
She spotted him sitting at the corner of his room. The sight in front of her made her immediately widen her eyes and look away, flustered, "What the hell?"
Thorndyke was still wearing his trousers but not his shirt, causing his broad, muscular chest to be on full display. He was cleaning a cut on his shoulder, wincing slightly as the antiseptic stung the broken skin. He watched her reaction with a smirk, clearly enjoying her momentary surprise.
"Do I surprise you?" he teased, noticing her avoiding eye contact. Gwen gritted her teeth, trying to maintain her composure.
"As if," she said in a snarky tone, "I just didn't expect you to be... undressed."
She couldn't help but glance in his direction, her gaze flickering briefly over his muscular physique before quickly looking away again.
