Aria emerged from the Whispering Woods, the hum still echoing in her mind. As she entered Ravenswood, she noticed a stranger standing outside the local bookstore. He was tall, with piercing green eyes and jet-black hair that fell to his shoulders. Aria felt a shiver run down her spine as their eyes met.
The stranger's gaze lingered on her before he turned back to the bookstore window. Aria wondered what had brought him to Ravenswood. The town wasn't exactly a tourist destination.
As she approached the bookstore, the stranger pushed open the door and disappeared inside. Aria followed, curiosity getting the better of her.
Inside, the stranger browsed the shelves, his fingers trailing over the spines of the books. Aria watched as he paused at a section on local history, his eyes scanning the titles.
"Can I help you find something?" the bookstore owner, Mrs. Jenkins, asked.
The stranger smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Just browsing, thank you. Though I am looking for something...specific."
Aria's ears perked up at the hint of mystery in his voice. She wondered what he was searching for.
