The truth of the Ghost Island
"Hey Luffy….. Wait ! did you just eat all those tangerines in just a minute ?" I couldn't help myself but exclaim at Luffy. I just took my eyes off him in order to pray for Bellemere, and all the tangerines from the trees all around me disappeared into the stomach of my captain. His cheeks were bloated trying to contain all the tangerines he was trying to eat at once. It was just hard to believe that just in a minute, he had already plucked so many fruits and had already eaten them. And since I cannot see any cover on the ground, he must have eaten them without removing the cover of the fruit.
"Yef." Luffy spoke with his mouth full of tangerines. My eye twitched in annoyance when some of the fruit juices from his mouth landed on my face.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa !" But before I could scold him properly a high pitched scream was heard from the forest.
The scream attracted both mine and Luffy's attention.
"Nami, is that Usopp's voice ?" Luffy gulpd down down all of the tangerines at once and asked me.
"Yeah, that's definitely him." I said fearfully. The sun was about to go down and we should return to the ship. But abandoning Usopp in a forest that might be filled with ghosts didn't sit right with me.
Originally Sanji was about to leave the ship like Zoro and find some good quality tangerines from the forest. But I didn't want those two to fight over and separate in a forest, which might be potentially filled with ghosts. That's why I sent Usopp who would cling to Zoro all the time and never leave him alone. In case even if Zoro got lost, Usopp will be able to find their way back. Zoro was adamant about leaving the forest. And he wouldn't listen to me. So I had no choice but to tell Sanji to stay on the ship while we went into the forest. But now it seems that my decision was wrong.
"Alright let's go !" Luffy didn't even wait and took me into his arms and started going through the tangerine trees like Tarzan.
"Waaaaai !"

"Wha ! Hah ! Hah !" Usopp woke up gasping for breath. His vision was blurry. But soon it became clear as he looked around the place. Then suddenly he remembered the last thing he saw. It was Zoro's twisted head when he screamed and then the ghost Zoro started to choke him until he blacked away. Usopp was horrified. But despite that he didn't dare to make any noise.
First he tried to move and found himself bound by tight ropes. It was dark around him. But not completely dark. There was a candle burning in the corner of the room. But the strangest thing was the candle was so far away that apart from the candle itself seeing anything else was almost impossible. But as someone who specializes in sniping, Usopp's vision was very sharp. Adjusting his vision, he managed to figure out that he was inside some kind of cabin. The cabin was big and he was tied to one of its poles. There was no other sound around him except for the sound of crickets in the night.
In short it was very creepy. Usopp was panicking. But instead of screaming he decided to silently work on his ropes and escape as fast as possible. As a jack of all trades, Usopp knew a few tricks about loosening ropes. While working on his ropes, Usopp was looking everywhere in order to find an escape. Fortunately he found a closed window after a lot of searching.
The rope was tight around his wrists. But the knot was not very complex. It was the work of an amateur. So Usopp managed to free himself quite easily. As soon as he freed himself, Usopp darted towards the closed window. As soon as he opened it he jumped outside. But before he could run away, his eyes widened when he saw a mountain of gold lying on the ground in front of him. It was glowing under the dim moonlight very faintly. The entire area around the gold and the small cabin was covered by a large wooden fence.
When Usopp started looking around for an exit, suddenly the main gate of the fence cracked open. Usopp, being ever cautious, immediately hid inside a nearby bush.
As the gate opened, a freaky old man with long white hair and white beard came inside. But for some reason he was clutching his stomach tightly.
"Damn that swordsman ! He managed to catch me even with all of his senses fooled ! I severely underestimated him. The wound is not deep. As long as he doesn't follow me here, it shouldn't be a problem. But wait ! That idiot I caught before ! If they come here searching for him then I will be doomed ! Maybe I should just kill him and throw him into the ocean… yeah let's just do it." The old man said to himself and went towards the cabin door, which was well hidden from the outside as well as the inside.
As soon as the old man went out of his sight, Usopp dartered towards the exit as fast as possible. But unfortunately he was being tricked by the old man. The truth was he had already noticed the opened window as soon as he returned.
A horrified expression appeared on Usopp's face when the main gate went farther and farther away the faster he ran.

Luffy landed in front of Zoro while holding Nami in his arms. Zoro was struggling to find his way to Usopp in the darkness. In reality he was actually going in the right direction to get to the Going Merry.
"Hey, Zoro ! Did you find Usopp ? He was with you wasn't he ?" Luffy asked as he landed in front of Zoro.
"Yeah I don't know. He was with me at first, clinging to my back. But then he suddenly disappeared and an old man appeared in his place. I didn't notice it at first. But when I noticed, the old man suddenly jumped away and disappeared in front of my eyes. He tried to attack me using some kind of illusions and fake noises, but in the end I gave him a light cut. After that he disappeared completely. And from then on I am trying to find him or you guys. Even Blue had disappeared." Zoro complained.
