Amnesia of a tangerine haired girl
"Doctor doctor ! The tangerine haired girl is finally awake !" A young mint haired girl about 15 years old alerted the doctor shouting loudly.
"Shut up Fu ! I can hear you just fine ! You don't have to shout every time you are excited !" The doctor shouted back even more loudly.
It was the time of evening and he didn't have any patients to check. So he decided to check up on the girl.
Three days ago, he received the girl. At that time the local butcher had admitted her in his clinic. Apparently he found the girl inside the stomach of a sea king. The girl was still alive and could be saved. But the butcher was not willing to pay more than two thousand berries for the treatment.
Knowing the girl had been found from the stomach of a dead sea king, it was highly probable that she was the victim of either a shipwreck or a pirate attack.
Considering her age it was highly probable that whoever her guardian is, was probably dead. So the chances of getting back the money for her treatment was extremely low.
But in the end, the doctor couldn't leave the girl to die and decided to treat her. Apart from a few bruises, there were not much external injuries on the body of the girl.
One of her arms was dislocated and she was suffering from skin rashes due to The Saliva of the sea King. But apart from that, there were no other external injuries.
But due to the lack of oxygen, the girl has entered some kind of hibernating state which was very rare among humans. Although he didn't have necessary equipment to confirm, there was also a chance of her having a brain injury due to the lack of oxygen. And considering she didn't wake up after getting healed, there was also a chance of memory loss or temporary amnesia.
In the end the doctor marveled at how fast the girl's body healed on its own. Within a single day, most of her injuries were gone except for her dislocated arm. And on the second day it got good as new.
And finally on the 3rd day her consciousness has returned.
The doctor looked at the 10 years old girl who was looking everywhere with a confusing gaze.
"Hello, I am doctor Ganja. How do you
feel ?"
"Who am I ?"
"...*sigh*" The Doctor sighed heavily. It is exactly as he had feared.
The girl was suffering from amnesia.

"Nami" The orange haired girl muttered her own name. It sounded familiar in her mouth. There were two other names that she had managed to remember after getting help from Dr Ganja.
"Belli" and "Noji"
But she didn't remember anything else about her life.
It has been three days since she woke up.
And in exchange of letting her stay with him, she was doctor Ganja in his clinic and other physically stressful work.
She has a big appetite that Ganja always complains about. But he never let her go hungry. So apart from helping him in the clinic, she also helps around people in different things that require superior physical strength in exchange for some money.
And it was another normal day for her helping the doctor and trying to remember who she was.
"Nami ! Can you get me a stack of old newspapers ? Take the necessary money from the drawer. It is time to make some plasters !" Nami heard the doctor shouting from his room.
"Alright !" Nami replied back and went to fetch the money.
Doctor Ganja often uses old newspapers to make homemade plasters for the people with broken bones.
It might not be as effective as medical plasters. But it was very cheap to make.
This way even poor people could afford the cost of their treatment.
Nami took the money and went to the old paper shop where they usually sell useless paper and old newspapers.
After reaching the shop she waited for the shopkeeper to give the papers to another customer. While waiting, she looked around the shop. Doctor Ganja usually does not buy any newspapers unless there is something important going on. So Nami was looking towards the recently published newspapers of a few days ago. But she froze when her eyes fell on a newspaper the day before yesterday.
"*Haaah!*" Nami sucked in a large amount of air and took out the particular newspaper from the stack.
"He-" the shopkeeper was about to scold Nami but he stopped when he saw her reading the newspaper.
Nami's eyes widened in horror as she read the newspaper.
Her stimulated brain managed to recover her lost memories. The more she remembered the more horrified she got.
Until she couldn't take it anymore and passed away from shere mental exhaustion.

After waking up I started to cry. I tried as hard as I could. I remember everything I heard from the newspaper before I passed out. I remembered everything that has happened in the last few days.
There was only a single thing in my mind.
"Why ?"
From the very beginning I helped Belli create a business of Tangerine syrup so that our family could survive when the Arlong pirates would come to the island.
Eventually our life got better due to our business. I was feeling proud despite my anticipation for the inevitable.
But the inevitable never came. Instead a celestial dragon came to visit our Island and gave us a massive contract.
From a financially sound family, we became the wealthiest family in the conomi Island just in a month.
But then I saw Arlong, mixing something into our tangerine syrup.
But after reading the news, now I know that he was mixing poison in those syrups.
The world government declared the entire population of Cocoyashi village guilty for attempting to murder celestial dragons.
And as a result exactly 3 days ago, the day when I woke up losing most of my memories, marines declared a buster call on the island due to the offensive move of the inhabitants on the world nobles.
'All I wanted to do was help. But now everything is gone…..fuck me.' a dry laughter escaped my throat as I felt numb.
I couldn't think about anything else as I was feeling guilty for everyone's life.
