Annabel suggested a way to help them out. "I think I have an idea," she said. Anol asked, "Do you believe me?" Annabel replied, "Whether it's true or not, we need to do something. We can't let anyone get hurt."
"I think we should throw a party that the whole orphanage can attend," Annabel said. Anol was skeptical. "So sudden? I don't think this can work."
"Don't worry, let's have a plan, and I'm very sure it will work," Annabel assured him. Jerum chimed in, "Let's hear your plan first before we all agree."
Annabel explained, "We should throw a party at our school, and call it 'Teacher Appreciation Day.' Everyone will attend, and it will be the perfect distraction." Anol was concerned about the time constraint. "There's no time; it's noon now. We don't have much time to do this."
Jerum reassured him, "We can do it together." Anol asked, "How?" Jerum suggested, "Anol and I can go decorate the school while Annabel calls her friend Nala to help write the invitation cards."
As the plan unfolded, Jerum and Nala practiced the song they would sing, while Anol and Annabel rehearsed their speeches. As night fell, they agreed to get some rest. "Let's get some sleep now; we have a big day tomorrow." They bid each other goodnight.
But their rest was short-lived. In the middle of the night, they were jolted awake by a loud noise: "Boom! Boom!"
