We both watched him with bated breath as he pulled off his jacket before tossing it to the lounge chair where I was seated. His watch came off next before he turned his fiery and molten gaze back to Katharina.
Alexei didn't hesitate. Not for even a single second.
Katharina's eyes widened and before she could react, Alexei grabbed her by the hair with an unyielding grip, the veins in his forearms straining as he pulled her forward with chilling ease.
"Alexei—what the fuck, let me go!" she shrieked in pain as she clutched her hair, her voice shrill with panic. She tried to wrench herself free, but it was useless. He was far too strong, and with each step, he yanked her closer to the fountain that stood proudly in the center of the garden.
