Chapter Sixty-Nine: The Only Explanation
Seraphina's POV
I ran down the stairs when I heard the car revving. I had been telling Third to let me speak with Percy before he left, yet he almost forgot.
"Percy, wait!" But the Lamborghini drove past the gate. I reached the door and sighed when there was no sign of it coming back.
That Third just kept forgetting things important to me—like my meal that day. I should really get back at him.
I heard the beeping sound of the car horn immediately after I turned to leave. "It came back!" I ran to the gate, but I nearly got hit as it was entering.
I rushed back because I knew Second would be jumping out of that car in a second. But Percy jumped out first.
"Are you okay? Why were you standing by the gate? It would've hit you!" he yelled, pointing at the car.
