CHAPTER NINETY-SEVEN - His Return
Sebastian's POV
My mother confused me. She always had, but it had been more pronounced since my father's death. And it might not be because she was mourning him.
I mindlinked the guards to give us some space, and they disappeared into the house. I stepped back as well. The women should have their conversation while I observed.
I didn't leave completely because I didn't want to give the young lady an opportunity to disrespect my mother. The guard with her stepped back when I did.
"Fine, you don't know Xexi," the young lady nodded at her words. "So why did you ask the Beta's younger brother to take those documents from my house?"
My mother smiled. "To keep it safe, of course."
"Those are Xexi documents, so why did you want to keep some documents that you didn't know about safe? Luna, you can do better than that. Was it my mother who told you about Xexi?"
This was embarrassing.
