Chapter Eighty-Seven: Good Mood
Seraphina's POV
According to First, he had been to Theroes before and had even gotten locked in their cell for a misunderstanding. He didn't clarify what happened, and I really wanted to know.
That explained why he knew where to find the pack and had walked ahead of me to the study when we arrived. He even acted like he owned the place, driving directly in front of the study and getting out at the door.
"You're sure the Alpha only called you to ask about the North Fang death? I had noticed him looking at me when we left his office," I said, still feeling his gaze on me.
First looked at me through the side mirror and smirked. "Maybe he wanted to cry about you not being his fiancée anymore."
"Ha, ha, ha." I leaned back in the chair.
In just one ride with First, I felt more relaxed with him and could respond to his jokes with sarcasm. He looked intimidating, but he had a casual and nonchalant interior.
