Chapter Sixty-Six: Doesn't Add Up
Percy's POV
There was still no news from First.
I had faith that he would deliver; he always did. It might take a while, but he'd call soon, asking if he should deliver the head of the elder. He was crazy like that.
Liam was busy at base, so I had someone inform him that I'd be leaving first. Second came along with me.
"The little miss is still at home, right?"
He nodded.
My pace increased. I needed to get home before she got any ideas to sneak out of the house again.
When I got to the car, the driver wasn't inside. There was a note saying he had gone to have a meal. I tapped my feet, waiting for him. He could've just ordered out.
"If you want, I'd call her and ask where she is," Second offered. "That tracking device is in her phone, isn't it?"
"No, it's in Ed's phone watch, and it's already been given back to him. Go get another one and have a tracker placed in it."
