I knew a lot was happening, and I shouldn't have been very surprised, but Neil was back and had gotten beaten down by the little miss.
Normally, that would have been a thing of joy, but I couldn't help worrying that she had incurred more than she should. Neil now had a personal beef with her, and it might not just be about taking her company.
"Luther, calm down. She defended herself before First arrived. In the first place, she shouldn't have gone shopping," I turned to Liam. "And who paid for her shopping?"
"I was with First's card," Liam said simply.
I turned to First, who was still laughing at Luther's offense. He was impossible. "Could we be more careful next time? Liam, you could have gone in with her instead of waiting out—"
