*Venti POV.*
I stood on top of a bench, singing and playing my lyre. My heart felt like it was an oven and my veins felt like tiny highways with how fast they were. I worked my finger, playing difficult songs on my lyre. Though, recently when I play I don't get kicked out. It seems the bartender like me now that I've paid my tab! Once I'm done, I step down and pick up the mora I made, dipping my head in thanks.
"Ah, thank you!" I smile, I was obviously really inebriated.
"Venti." I turn around to see the bartender, Diluc, standing behind. "Heeeeyyyy.."
"You are far too drunk. You nearly fell off the bench!"
"But— but I.. I'm not drunk, I'm fine!"
Diluc narrowed his eyes. "Come here, do you have a home?"
I stepped closer, seeing him back up a bit. "Yes.. I live in.. uh.. I live everywhere.."
"Venti. I'm going to take you to my home, sleep on the bench and wait until we close, okay? Don't even think about having another drink tonight."
I exhaled and sat at a stool at the bar, speaking to other patrons. I saw diluc watching me as he prepared drinks. He hand his usual frown until someone came in.
*Diluc POV.*
"Ah, hello."
I smiled, making their usual drink. We conversed for a few minutes before they had to go. I then looked at venti, I was no longer smiling, nor was he.
"Who was that?" Venti asked. He sounded so out of it.
"A friend, why?"
"No reason. I'll be headed home now." He got up from the stool and stumbled out.
"Wait. Come here." I grabbed Venti's hand.
"You aren't leaving unless it's with me."
He grunted, tugging against me.
"Charles! I'm going out for the night, close when you need to!"
I turned around and picked up venti.
*Venti POV*
"Put me down, I'm going home."
"No. You aren't going home ." Diluc carried me all the way to Dawn Winery, he didn't even struggle.
When we made it, he'd already had his maids make a bath. They were obviously a bit shocked, they thought I was his daughter.
I slipped into the bath. "Diluc.. don't go.." He turned his head to look at me, he was shocked by my drunken clinging. "I cannot stay while you're in such.. well.. I should watch you. Fine, I'll stay in here but I will look away until you're fully submerged, got it
Bard?" I nodded, getting all the way in.
While I was bathing, I noticed he never looked at me. While he thought it was respectful, I felt a bit uneasy.
After I had got dressed, I got into his bed.
"Come.."
"No. I will be sleeping on the couch, goodnight Bard."
"What? No… pleaaassseeeee…"
He exhaled, getting into bed. "Happy now? Go to sleep."
I cuddled up against him. He was tense at first but let it happen. The rest of the night was comfortable and calm.
