As soon as Yesh left the class
The room was buzzing with chatter. Groups of students gathered, comparing their attributes and discussing the possible blessing they might receive in the upcoming ceremony. Some were excited, while others were nervous, their voices filled with a mix of anticipation and uncertainty
However, Raj sat quietly at his desk and lost in thought. Yesh's words still echoed in his mind, and he couldn't shake the feeling of pressure building inside him. Higher-grade blessings come with better mind and body training...
He glanced down at his evenly distributed attributes, which were all thanks to his secret ability to allocate points. Yet despite the advantages, he couldn't help but feel uneasy.
Suddenly, a heavy hand landed on his shoulder which jolted him out of his thoughts.
"What's wrong, Raj? Still thinking about which god or demon is going to bless you?" a familiar and energetic voice emerged.
Raj looked up to see his best friend Yogi who was also his childhood buddy. Yogi's large, round, chubby face was framed by a grin as wide as his shoulders. He was one of the most easygoing people Raj knows and his presence made his tension relax.
Raj smiled slightly. "Yep, something like that. What about you? Have you thought about which blessing you want?"
Yogi's grin widened even more as he plopped down into the next seat and excitedly "Oh, me? I am hoping for the blessing of Kubera(God of wealth). that way, i can continue to live the life of a second-generation rich kid for the rest of my life! As you already know motto of my family is 'Anything can be brought if you have enough money' "He laughed heartily his belly shaking as he could imagine the luxuries that would come with such a blessing
Raj raised his eyebrow with a smirk "Yeah, I know very well about your family motto and also heard that Lord Kubera has been your family's god from ancient times. I also heard you guys have special training to increase your chances of getting his blessing."
Yogi puffed out his chest and was proud. "Yup, it's no big secret anymore. Our family and a few others have secret methods to sway the odds. For Lord Kubera, we just need to surround ourselves with a huge amount of gold, just sleep with it, train with it, live with it. The more time you spend with gold the better your chances"
Raj blinked in surprise, his voice dropped to a low whisper. "Hey, Keep it down! You're spilling your family secrets. What if they exile you? Worst, they might remove your name from the family tree."
Yogi waved him off with a casual laugh. "You do not need to worry about it. The higher-ups in the Union Council are planning to release most of the secret techniques soon. It'll all be On Prana's site for people to buy with points. You'd know these things if you spend more time with your parents who are high-ranking members." He said it nonchalantly, but there was still a hint of teasing tone beneath it.
Raj let out a sigh and leaned back in his chair. "It's not that I don't want to spend more time with them. It's just nowadays my parents are always busy with something. I barely get a reply when I message them."
