Molly: Here's your entry ticket; I hope you become stronger.
As Arthur walked away, the Eye asked him if he was going to look for a team, but he just kept walking. After leaving the association, he headed to a medium-sized construction company and requested a remodel of his house for greater comfort, as well as fixing the yard for training but leaving the tree intact. Most of the work was done with wood, costing 250,000 units for the remodel.
Before heading to the E rank dungeon, he went to buy equipment since his previous gear was almost unusable and not suitable for hunting. He looked for the most economical yet good-quality store possible. While searching, the Eye told him to stop and buy a complete set of gear, which included a lightweight combat suit of rank E and a charcoal black trench coat of rank D, as well as a short sword of rank F.
Arthur hesitated a bit since this would leave him with only 10,000 units from all the money he had earned, but he heard the Eye confidently. Arthur leaned his head against the entrance of the store, hoping it would be worth it. They headed to the dungeon, and upon arrival:
Entrance.
Here.
How many members will enter?
Just me.
Haha, you just got a blessing and think you can handle everything. Alright, kid, it's your funeral.
Upon entering the dungeon, he noticed it was a forest. As he began to walk, he saw a small monster with green skin, red eyes, and pointy ears; his first enemy was a goblin, about the size of a seven-year-old child.
The goblin wielded a small dagger, brandishing it as if to attack. Arthur's wrist trembled slightly. Just as they were about to fight, he felt something behind him, but he wouldn't be able to stop both attacks. Although his senses were better after the blessing, he wasn't used to using them. He repelled the attack in front of him, but the previous one had already struck; it didn't penetrate but pushed him back.
I told you it was a good option. You're a fool; did you think that the years you spent in the rear meant something? You've only been defending yourself; you've never killed anything. I knew it from the first time I saw you. Even now, you're just defending against attacks.
Arthur continued to repel and retreat, using the trench coat as a shield.
What are you waiting for? For them to die of exhaustion? It's the same as in that cave; you hide behind the strong, but it was necessary back then, not now. You have to choose; can you really change the system of the gods with such little willpower?
Arthur kicked one of the monsters, dodged the other's attack by spinning around, and stabbed it in the chest. He threw his trench coat at the other goblin; when it pushed it aside, Arthur, with all his strength, cut off its head.
I won't let fear paralyze me anymore!
Arthur took the mana stones from the goblins and remembered that people absorb them, but after undergoing a process that cleanses them and converts them into normal mana, he understood.
You said energy is neither good nor bad; chaos, in essence, is energy.
Arthur placed the two stones on his wrist, felt the chaos within them, and began to transfer that power into himself, making it circulate before finally absorbing it into his body. Although he felt only a slight increase, for the first time, he sensed the advancement of his power.
