Chapter 55 - Thousand Miles of Ice!!!

"Lynch, you're alone..."

Thor struggled to stand up, wanting to fight alongside Lynch.

"Don't worry about me, it's just a weapon!"

Lynch smiled slightly and then disappeared from everyone's sight.

"Boom!"

In the distance, the Destroyer let out a loud crash, like a ragdoll being kicked away by Lynch, who had suddenly appeared behind it!

The Destroyer tumbled far before steadying itself, then unleashed a devastating beam of energy!

Lynch didn't even bother dodging; he fired his own heat vision directly to clash with it.

"Boom!"

A massive explosion erupted, blowing everything around them away!

"Let's go!" Thor got up, preparing to lead the others to safety.

"Will he be okay?" Jane asked, worried.

Thor glanced back at the battle between Lynch and the Destroyer and reassured her, "He'll be fine. It's too dangerous for you to stay here. I'll take you to safety."

The group began to retreat, helping each other as they moved away.

Back on the battlefield, Lynch's heat vision clashed with the Destroyer's beam for a second. Then, Lynch's eyes widened, and his heat vision intensified, swallowing the Destroyer's attack and blasting its body!

Once again, the Destroyer was sent flying and crashed heavily to the ground.

But it merely dusted itself off and stood back up, its armor shifting slightly, seemingly unharmed!

"As expected, it's indestructible!" Lynch sighed.

Odin sure had a lot of treasures!

Even this armor was so powerful!

Too bad, no matter how strong the gear, it still needs a capable user.

Upon entering this black-armored figure, with Lynch's super-intelligence, he immediately figured out its identity.

It was none other than Skurge from Thor: Ragnarok—the guy who betrayed Asgard the moment Hela invaded, after Heimdall left!

Though he redeemed himself by staying behind to fight for Asgard's people, he was undeniably... a weakling. In the movie, he even fought with two guns, making him a bit of an oddball among the Asgardian warriors!

The reality was no different now. Inside the Destroyer, Skurge had a complaint on the tip of his tongue, directed at Loki: You had no good intentions, did you?

Is this guy even human?

He was taking on the Destroyer head-on—and winning!

Even your brother might not be able to beat this guy, right?

How on earth was Skurge supposed to fight him?

He wasn't Odin, after all. If he got caught, wouldn't he die on the spot?

Life was tough!

Despite his inner thoughts, Skurge continued controlling the Destroyer to face Lynch.

After all, he figured that running away wasn't an option.

His only hope was to rely on the Destroyer's indestructibility and engage in a war of attrition!

Drag it out!

Drag it out until Lynch ran out of stamina, and maybe then he'd have a chance!

Lynch didn't know about Skurge's plan, but if he did...

He'd probably laugh out loud.

Captain America used to boast to his enemies, "I could do this all day!"

On a sunny day like this, Lynch could boast, "I could fight you for a lifetime!"

"Ha!"

Lynch delivered a powerful punch to the Destroyer's hard exterior, driving it into the ground and shaking its armor plates.

Before the Destroyer could get up, Lynch flipped over and sat on its massive frame, raining punches down like a storm.

A barrage of ordinary punches!

Lynch's fists sped up until there were afterimages.

As the Destroyer was gradually pounded deeper into the ground without showing any visible damage, Lynch began to ramp up his strength.

The normally restrained power inside him was gradually unleashed, poured relentlessly onto this perfect punching bag.

"Boom, boom, boom!"

Like one meteor after another smashing into the Earth, the immense force transmitted through the Destroyer shook the ground like an earthquake!

"What's happening?"

The retreating group felt the unusual tremors in the earth and turned to look back at Lynch's direction.

"Who on Earth is he? How can he be so strong?" Volstagg exclaimed in shock, clutching his chest.

"Could he be a hidden god from another dimension of Midgard?" Sif wondered, equally astonished.

With their long lives and vast experiences, they had to admit that Lynch was extremely powerful—definitely strong enough to be a god!

"I have no idea." Thor shook his head, still confused himself.

He knew Lynch was strong, strong enough to lift Mjolnir, but how strong exactly?

He wasn't sure either!

"Let's go. We're almost there. Just hold on a little longer!" Thor encouraged the group to keep moving.

"Dragon Fist!"

Lynch shouted dramatically as he landed a heavy punch on the Destroyer's chin.

The Destroyer shot into the sky like a rocket from the deep pit it was buried in!

Lynch quickly followed, both fists raised, slamming them down onto the Destroyer's stomach!

The Destroyer changed direction, plummeting straight into the ground with a crash.

In midair, Lynch paused for a moment to crack his neck.

Nice!

It had been a long time since he'd found something this durable to fight!

Ever since the rapid increase in his template progress and the growing number of days he'd spent in the sun...

Lynch had begun to find all his enemies on Earth utterly boring.

Who could withstand a punch from the mighty Lynch?

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that all of Earth's villains were trash.

That was why Lynch was eager to join in Thor's adventures.

Even though Thor's power levels were inconsistent, at least his dad was a powerful figure, and he had an unstoppable villain sister!

Why not get acquainted with him? After all, who would want to waste time fighting alongside Tony against Whiplash?

Tony might not find it embarrassing, but Lynch sure would!

And here Odin's casual weapon was this durable? How strong must the man himself be?

Although Odin was nearing the end of his life and couldn't use his full power...

That was perfect!

If Odin had been in his prime, Lynch would've run the other way!

Just like he had no intention of seeking out the Ancient One.

The Ancient One had the Time Stone and could see both the past and the future. She must have already noticed Lynch's unusual presence.

However, Lynch wasn't sure what future the Ancient One had seen.

Was it a future that included him?

Or the original future of this world?

Either way, ever since Lynch showed up, the Ancient One must have sensed something, perhaps even learned about Lynch's origin.

She just didn't know how he got here. Unless Lynch revealed it himself, the Ancient One would never know about his system.

That's why Lynch felt uneasy and hadn't dared to seek her out.

He hoped the Ancient One wouldn't come after him. Why walk into trouble on his own?

Lynch wanted to live a bit longer!

Back to the present—having finished warming up, Lynch was ready to finish off the Destroyer.

The sooner he wrapped this up, the sooner he could head to Asgard!

Now that he was in the Marvel universe, how could he miss checking out the Asgardian palace?

If he waited too long, the place would be gone!

With these thoughts in mind, Lynch's eyes burned brightly, unleashing two terrifying heat rays!

In an instant, the Destroyer was engulfed by the heat vision!

But after a few seconds, Lynch frowned.

The Destroyer showed no signs of melting or being incinerated.

It seemed the heat vision wasn't powerful enough...

What should he do?

Retracting the heat vision, Lynch's super-brain worked quickly.

Moments later, he thought of an ability he hadn't used in combat yet.

Frost breath!

Its usual job was to cool down soda quickly!

It was as commonly used as heat vision for lighting cigarettes!

But Lynch had never used it in a fight.

After all, in terms of power, heat vision was more straightforward and overwhelming. One glare could turn everything to ashes!

But in this situation, since heat vision wasn't working...

Frost breath would be perfect to freeze the Destroyer!

With that in mind, Lynch took a deep breath---

"Whoosh!"

A cold wind howled from his mouth, freezing everything in its path into ice and snow!

The Destroyer, which had just been through molten hellfire, was now instantly frozen into a massive ice sculpture!

Lynch kept the frost breath going for a few minutes, turning the surroundings into a bizarre frozen wasteland!

"Stay put, or I'll keep hammering you!"

Lynch landed in front of the Destroyer and calmly warned it.

If he could move, Skurge would have nodded vigorously.

Thank goodness, this monster had finally stopped pounding him!

With all those punches, Skurge had been worried that the Destroyer wouldn't hold up, and he'd end up taking a direct hit and dying on the spot.

Being frozen wasn't so bad—it was cold, sure, but at least it wasn't dangerous!

Skurge silently vowed that even if the ice melted, he'd stay frozen and not move an inch!

Satisfied that the Destroyer wasn't going to break free, Lynch looked around before flying toward the Rainbow Bridge's teleportation point.
