Under the watchful eyes of Lynch, Natasha, and Coulson, the Mjolnir was slowly lifted off the ground.
Just as Lynch was feeling a surge of joy, a figure suddenly appeared beside him.
Lynch was initially startled but quickly realized the identity of the newcomer.
"Who are you? Since when does Midgard have someone as powerful as you?"
The figure asked in surprise.
Lynch, still holding the hammer, turned around to carefully examine this unexpected guest.
He was dressed in a well-fitted suit, his delicate face showing barely concealed shock.
"Loki, the trickster god of Asgard! I am a god dormant in Midgard. You can call me Lyn," Lynch replied with a smile.
The newcomer was indeed Loki, the trickster god, brother of Thor, who had made his first appearance in the Thor storyline. Loki had once seized the throne after Odin fell into a deep sleep and Thor was banished.
In the story, after Thor failed to lift Mjolnir, Loki told him that Odin was dead, and their mother forbade Thor from returning to Asgard. Furthermore, Loki discovered that Heimdall was secretly disloyal, so he sent the Destroyer to hunt down Thor and allied with the Frost Giants to invade Asgard.
Eventually, Thor regained Mjolnir by sacrificing himself, bathed in lightning, and was reborn with his powers. He defeated the Destroyer, stopped Loki from annihilating the Frost Giant realm, and in the end, Loki, filled with despair, threw himself into the abyss.
Loki would later meet Thanos and become his pawn, spearheading an invasion of Earth, leading to the events of The Avengers and the Battle of New York.
This Thor plot had far-reaching consequences, and Lynch was quite interested in getting involved.
Trickster God Loki?
Watch how I fool you!
Upon hearing Lynch's introduction, Loki was visibly stunned.
He didn't fully believe Lynch's claim, as he had never heard of a god in Midgard. But the sight of Lynch holding Mjolnir in midair, with undeniable power, made him question his doubts. Could this being be anything but a god?
Loki's confusion was hidden beneath a polite bow as he cautiously probed, "So why have you awakened? You must know, this Mjolnir belongs to Asgard…"
"I know," Lynch said calmly as he slowly lowered the hammer. He continued his deception, "I sense a great chaos is coming, one that will sweep across the Nine Realms, and the entire universe. When it comes, the realms will fall into ruin, gods will perish, and all will return to nothingness."
Lynch's gaze was deep, his voice heavy:
"Even Odin must have sensed it. Why else would he fall into slumber, hurriedly pushing you two youngsters onto the throne? But it's all futile. Thor is a wandering warrior, unfit to be king. And as for you…"
Lynch sneered, his disdain unmistakable.
Loki, stunned by Lynch's flow of words, grew visibly colder. Lynch's knowledge of Asgard was astonishingly detailed, even down to Odin's sleep—something known only to a few in Asgard, where the common belief was that Odin had died.
But to suggest that neither he nor Thor was fit for the throne?
Thor might be a fool who charges into battle without thinking, but Loki, the god of fire and mischief, had the perfect claim to the throne. Just because he was adopted, born of Frost Giant blood, Odin had always favored Thor, despite his recklessness and stupidity.
I will seize the throne!
If Odin won't give it to me, I'll take it by force.
Loki burned with ambition, but his anger was kept in check as he coldly responded, "Asgard's matters are not for others to meddle with. A god of Midgard? I've never heard of such a god."
Suspicion filled Loki's eyes as they roamed over Lynch, still unsure of his origins.
Lynch chuckled, and in a flash, he appeared behind Loki.
He placed a hand on Loki's shoulder and whispered into his ear, "Wanna try me, little one?"
A flash of anger crossed Loki's face, and a sharp dagger appeared in his hand as he attempted to stab Lynch.
Shaking his head, Lynch easily grabbed Loki's slender wrist, sighing, "So weak..."
Not only weak but stubborn!
Loki, a mage by nature, always rushed into close combat with his dagger, acting like a melee fighter.
A mage charging into battle with a dagger? Did he think his enemies were pushovers?
At this point, Loki was still too young. It wasn't until he was slammed around by the Hulk later that he truly understood the harshness of the world, becoming a master of escape and forsaking close combat.
But for now, Lynch intended to let this mischievous "princess" experience the cruelty of the world early.
Grabbing Loki's hand, Lynch gave a hard toss, sending Loki crashing to the ground with a thud.
Loki, dazed from the impact, was left wondering, Who am I? Where am I?
Lynch grabbed Loki again and tossed him once more—
Crash!
The ground shook from the impact.
Natasha and Coulson, unsure of what had just transpired, stood by curiously watching the strange wrestling match between Lynch and this mysterious intruder.
"Asgard? Midgard? Loki? Odin?"
Coulson turned to Natasha with a puzzled look.
"Do you know what any of this means?"
Natasha, equally confused, shook her head.
"It sounds like mythology? Isn't Loki the name of a god in legends? Didn't expect them to be real."
She glanced at the beaten Loki, still perplexed.
"It's just… this god seems a bit too…"
"Let me go!"
Loki screamed from the ground, seething with rage.
"I am the son of Odin, the trickster god…"
Lynch smirked.
"I know, I know."
He grabbed Loki by the ankle, suspending him upside down, mimicking a classic scene.
"Odin's son, huh?"
Thud.
"Thor's little brother, huh?"
Crash.
"The trickster god, right?"
Smash.
Loki, his vision spinning, muttered incoherently, "You can't do this to me. I'm a god…"
Lynch knelt down beside Loki, delivering the final blow.
"A god?"
"What a weak god."
