Already inside the wooden house, we walked down a short corridor and turned round, coming out into a small room with a long wooden table by the only window, alas the window looked the other way, out onto a vast expansive field. The room itself was filled with the smell of recently cooked food.
Next to the table, against the wall, was a small tiered shelf that held cutlery and more, like a couple of odd books.
The table itself was empty, though, and the man stood by the window, arms crossed. There was a slight air of suspicion and irritation about him.
- Well, I guess if Hiro is here, then Elvina, my friend, is here too... and I think she's in the courtyard?
August sighed, shifting a slightly annoyed look to me. Just as he opened his mouth to say something, he immediately closed it - behind us we heard approaching footsteps, and two cheerful female voices could be heard talking to each other as they swiftly approached us.
- Uncle August! Do we have visitors? - came an unfamiliar female voice.
The voice was soft, most likely this voice belonged to a shepherdess, and next to her walked my Elvina, which also did not remain silent and repeated after... her possible sister. Oddly enough, the smell of goblin blood was absent.
The man flinched a bit upon hearing the girls approach and hesitantly answered them:
- Y-yes, your cousin's acquaintances are here....
- What acquaintances? - A voice shouted back and two girls in almost identical clothes entered the room. And if the shepherdess was tired, the other one was fresh and alert and smelt a pleasant odour of raspberries and bread. When Elvina saw me and the girl in my hands, she froze on the spot and dropped the wooden sword from her hands, which fell to the ground with a muffled sound, making the shepherdess surprised.
Elvina's eyes reflected incomprehension and surprise, and emotions swirled.
- Uncle Augustus... huh...?.. - moaned the second... almost a copy of Elvina. Only her eyes were a different colour - ruby. Her breasts jiggled merrily due to her heavy breathing, and her wet shirt practically showed off her charms. - Sis' friends?
- E-this armour... where did you get it from? - Elvina stared at me with a demanding gaze of eyes blazing with... either rage or indignation.
- Hmm? Master?! Didn't you recognise Hero-san? - The girl in my arms turned around, tilting her head questioningly and looking at her, teacher...?
I patted Hiro on the back.
- Ahem, Hiro, I have a name after all - Arien, so call me by my name from now on, okay? - I said softly.
- Arien...' she said, tasting the name. - Um! Okay, hero-san! - she nodded.
- Well, Elvina, I see you're doing well,' I relaxed my grip on her and ducked down a little and patted Hiro's bottom, as if suggesting that she get off me. The girl, blushing slightly, nodded and loosened her grip. She jumped down onto the hard ground and grabbed one of my hands, giggling with a silly smile.
- G-master... is that really you? - Elvina clasped her hands to her mouth, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes. Emotions swirled in a whirlwind of chaos. The copy of Elvina standing next to me tilted her head perplexed, listening to our conversation.
I nodded.
- Of course, who else could wear such strange armour? - I grinned, extending my palm towards the girl. - I've come for you, Elvina...
She stared mesmerised at my outstretched hand, and took a timid step forward, then another, and then threw herself into my arms, tucked into my shoulder, pressed against my huge bust, hugged my neck and sobbed in three streams, while she did not stop whispering my name. The girl's emotions just flooded my head, and my free hand touched the girl in return, a gentle touch.
- Ahem, Ali, I think we should leave them alone for a while... - the man behind us sighed and tactfully left the room, taking the surprised shepherdess with him, Ali...? He cast a last glance at Heero but didn't dare to do anything, especially when his gaze skipped over my little sister, he sighed again, shaking his head.
- Sir-san-san-san! You're alive! I'm glad! God, I'm so glad! - She whispered, and in addition, Hiro suddenly disappeared and my other hand found its place on the girl's bottom.
I glanced over to my sister and noticed the missing girl, who had been grabbed by my little sister in her arms, but her helmet was missing, and she was rubbing her cheek against the girl's and stroking her head. They were almost the same height, by the way... and both were embarrassed.
- Unya... tickle... sis! - Hiro squeaked.
- Um... you're soft... it feels good....
...
That's a very nice picture - two girls for the price of one. Ahem. Not that, I've got a whimpering girl in my arms and my hand on her soft arse.
- Sir... may I see your face? - She pulled back a little from me with tears of happiness in her eyes, her eyes shining with green light, and her arms around my neck tightened as if I was about to disappear and she would be alone again.
I nodded silently, and my helmet quickly dissipated into a black haze and disappeared completely in a few seconds, revealing my smiling face.
- Ah! Mister, are you an elf? It doesn't matter though!' she shook her head and smiled, quickly nestling her lips on mine. The girl's hot and soft lips touched mine for a second, and then she shrieked and blushed, embarrassed, and lowered her gaze, gushing with joy and contentment. Such an unexpected and brave move, I honestly didn't expect it, but the kiss was... simple, too. Except that the next emotion, which burrowed into my head like a hot nail... finally threw me off balance. The girl in my arms just blew my mind, and her embarrassment, shame, love, slight excitement and hope burrowed deeply into my heart.
- Elvina...I,' my tongue was traitorously slurred and there was a strange lump in my throat. My face flamed, and my heart sped up. Without noticing, I grabbed the girl's chin and lifted her face to look into her emerald eyes.
The girl swallowed and panted, her mouth open and her eyes slightly clouded, her cheeks flushed.
- Mr. Arien...' she whispered, bringing her face close to mine.
Probably it would have been a long and sweet kiss, but a slightly indignant voice from the side made Elvina shrink from fright, the girl lowered her gaze and pressed her face into my chest, her eyes hidden behind a lock of red hair.
- Brother Arien! - I was pressed against my back, and someone's arms wrapped around me tightly - it was Hiro, her flowery scent quickly reached my nose, and Elvina stopped breathing altogether, blazing with intense embarrassment and shame. - Brother! Brother! My hero brother! - the girl excitedly blurted out....
- Bro, I'm sorry, she burst out when she saw you without your helmet... - said Arine, who had come over and pointed helplessly at Hiro, who was clinging to me.
My face was still flaming red with embarrassment and my heart was beating fast. The lump in my throat disappeared and I slowly calmed down, regaining my composure. Shaking my head and ruffling Elvina's hair, I said with a chuckle:
- It's nothing, it's not your fault sis, I know it myself... what a strong girl she is.....
- Brother Arien! Why have you been hiding your face all this time? - The cheerful Hiro asked, burning my ear with her hot breath, which gave me goosebumps - the effect was so strong... so arousing.
- H-hiro-chan...
- М? It doesn't matter, little brother! The important thing is that you're with us now! - She laughed as she pressed herself against my back.
- Ahem, Sir... I'll... I'll... I need to go to the bathroom,' Elvina squirmed in my arms, blushing more and more from embarrassment and shame. Even from here I could see her ears turning scarlet with steam coming almost directly from them.
I quickly removed my hands from her tense arse and nodded.
- Sure, we'll wait for you here. By the way, can you get August-san...?
The girl nodded, taking her time to lift her gaze from the floor, and quickly ran off towards the door, disappearing behind it. Hiro peeked out from behind me and tilted her head, giving her teacher a glance, then looked at me.
- Brother, will you practice swordsmanship with me? - She smiled innocently.
***
- So you're the hero Hiro's been telling me about? And the Arien my niece was talking about? - The man asked me, crossing his arms and sitting across from me.
- Did you really save the children from the burning village? - Elika, short for Eli, who was sitting far away from him, asked excitedly. Elvina's cousin. Almost devouring me with her gaze, she was pouring my tea with interest and curiosity, mixed with admiration. She smelled... oddly pleasant - fresh bread and berries.
I nodded, sipping from my mug... iced tea? Or something to replace it, well, at least it tasted good and was well refreshing, considering I hadn't drunk anything in a while - it was fine. Finally, I moistened my throat... and nearly let a tear escape from petty happiness when I finally drank something other than water...
Not much time had passed since Hiro's request for sword practice. I had to put her in my sister's hands, of course, which she accepted with some pleasure. Except, Hiro wanted to train with me and was almost cranky. I had to quickly make up an excuse and only after saying, 'If you can beat my sister, I'll train with you right away!' She lit up with eagerness and nodded with the words, 'Wait for me, little brother Arien, I'll beat her quickly!'
To my own sister, I nodded, mentally telling her not to give in and use my bloody spear, only to somehow try to blunt its point.
Now, I sat at the table and caught two glances, one filled with curiosity and the other with annoyance. For some reason the man disliked me at once and showed it in every possible way - in particular, he glared at me as if I were stealing his daughter... a strange man, in general.
Though I smiled and spoke to him respectfully, and even used the suffix 'san' for his name, but he... eh... Maybe he doesn't know them? I threw a curious glance at him. I don't think so, though anything could be...
- Don't give me that glare, Uncle Augustus,' I smiled, emptying my mug of tea.
He squinted his eyebrows and shook his head.
- Strange, I was told you were dead... - and a suspicious look that was full of distrust.
- Uncle!' Ali said indignantly, pouring more tea into my mug and smiling embarrassedly for her uncle.
- Thank you Elika, your tea is delicious,' I nodded, smiling gratefully.
- It's okay, you saved my cousin, that's the only way I can repay you,' she smiled modestly, blushing slightly.
'Could have body... hehehehehehe, ahem, wrong thinking!'
- So, you're saying I'm dead? But what about it, I'm sitting in front of you sipping tea, how can I be dead? - I smiled a white smile, making a sort of chuckle that made him grind his teeth. - I just... passed out from poisoning. You see, I'm a half elf and my teacher was a sadist, feeding us different herbs, thus making my sister and I immune to poisoning....
- Oh! - Ali exclaimed sadly, her hands clasped to her mouth in pain. Even the man softened a little upon hearing such a thing. A little bit, though, since he didn't really believe what he was saying yet.
- And afterwards, I woke up in a cave. Apparently, they decided to... hide me there? I don't know why... but... Ha ha ha... gosh, when I realised that I had been mistaken for dead, I honestly got goosebumps! Good thing they didn't burn you,' I laughed, causing August to look at me with a perplexed look and Elika to smile softly.
- That's how it is...' the man nodded. - Okay, I get it. However, you didn't have your sister with you then, and now... - he didn't finish, smiling slyly and looking at me.
I returned his smile, wetting my throat with tea.
- What are you talking about? - I covered my eyes in bewilderment.
- She wasn't with you, and then... after your supposed death, she suddenly appears.....
- Uncle!' Ali was outraged again, but he didn't even look at her.
'Damn you! I'm already regretting deciding to talk...'
- Ha... Uncle August, aren't you asking for too much? - I don't know if my eyes were glowing, but the man swallowed his saliva and fell silent.
- Oh, your eyes have turned red! - Ali tilted her head in surprise, not even blinking in fright or anything.
- Oh, I'm sorry,' I squeezed my eyes shut and took a couple of deep breaths, and then slowly opened my eyes, smiling sweetly at the man, 'sometimes that happens.... yeah, sometimes... when I'm pissed off.
The man perked up and looked away.
'Pfft...' - I tried not to laugh as I looked at the stifled man. Simultaneously transferring my gaze to Elika, who didn't even feel the pressure of fear - very strong-willed girl!
- Thank you for your hospitality, dear Elika, your tea was simply unparalleled,' I stood up from the table, bowing slightly.
- Huh? - she blushed a little, - it's okay, I'm always happy to treat you to more! - she stood up after me and bowed, her voluminous breasts jiggling, catching my eye.
- Um, if memory serves me correctly, there is a man who lives here, the Goblin Killer, is that right?
- Ah, yes, he's a childhood friend of mine. Have you... have you met him? - she asked, smiling modestly.
- Of course, we met him near the cave...
- With the goblins,' she nodded with a chuckle.
- Yes, he escorted us to the city. He didn't tell us he knew me, though....
- Forgive me! - She bowed as if it were her and not him.
- No need to apologise, I don't blame him. Hmm, he lives here in the old barn, doesn't he?
The girl was surprised, showing with her whole look: 'How?'
- Ha ha ha ha ha ha, the smell! The smell of goblin blood and steel, even now it can clearly be smelled somewhere here!
- Oh-oh-oh! You can do that?
- Not only that, dear Elika, not only that....
So we went out into the courtyard, and the man was forgotten by us, he remained sitting at the table, looking mournfully out of the window.
A cold gust of wind whistled outside, and a bright beam of light struck my eyes, making me squint a little. The backyard was huge, and the field of grass was even bigger, it went somewhere into the woods, there were two more buildings not far from the house and one of them looked shaky. But not that attracted my eyes, before my eyes was a picture of two furies that were fighting or rather training and, as I expected, Arine was holding up well and crushing the young swordswoman with a wooden sword, cleverly dodged the lunges of young Hiro and did not let her get close to her, driving her away with quick pokes, from which Hiro was out of breath and breathing heavily, she even gritted her teeth, emitting war cries.
- Sis Ari! Brother will be mine! - Hiro jumped away from Arine, breathing heavily and clutching her sword with both hands, then stood up, raising her sword to the level of her head.
At her words, Ariné swung her spear diagonally with a cold smile and prepared to deflect any lunge, one of her legs stretched forward while the other was bent in a half squat.
- Hmm, try to beat me and then... I'll think about it...' she said with a smile, shooting me a glance, followed by Hiro.
- Brother Arien! - She smiled enthusiastically, and then her gaze turned serious.
- Hoaaaah!
- Haaaa!
Both shouted a battle cry and rushed towards each other.
*Wshuh*.
They collided with each other at high speed, and faint claps of blows travelled through the air. Hiro was using her advantage to her fullest advantage, she was charging at Arinée with all her might, while she was defending herself with her bloody spear, not rushing to attack and only defending herself.
And from the looks of it, she was doing it on purpose, as if waiting for the right moment....
*(The sound of wood and spear clashing as they whistled through the air).
Farther and farther back, and at one point, when Hiro was already savouring the victory and relaxed, she knocked the wooden sword out of her opponent's hands with a quick strike.
- Whaaa?! - Hiro fell on her butt, looking in surprise at the spear frozen in front of her face.
- Shi-shi-shi-shi... - the victorious girl emitted something between a laugh and a hiss, but her lips were still pressed together, only a faint smile and a glint in her eyes gave away her joy.
- Wowo! Sis is strong! - Hiro admired, smiling broadly and throwing her arms around Ari, who hugged her back, blushing sweetly.
- Oh-oh, your sister is very strong, Arien...' Ali said with equal admiration, watching the two girls almost caressing each other. - Even I... have never defeated Hiro-chan yet....
- Hmm, that's for sure,' I could only nod with an intelligent look. Even I'm not sure I could defeat her in a fight now... it seems like I'm stronger, but a spear has a definite advantage over a sword. Even Hiro couldn't take her down with brute force, and she has that strength a lot....
- Hehehehehe, sis, your hands are very gentle... mind, it tickles me a little! - Hiro smiled as she was almost being stroked like a cat! Well, that... under her chin was scratched and behind her ear.
- Pardon my indiscretion, but where are you staying? - Ali asked, wrapping her arms around herself and sticking out her huge breasts. Such a strange gesture was probably a common thing for her.
- Nowhere yet, but we'll probably stop somewhere in town,' I said, trying not to stare at her breasts.
- Hmmm, so... I take it Elvina-chan and Hiro-chan are going with you? - She asked a little sadly, looking at the cheerful girls.
I didn't say anything. I have a lot to do: find the elven girls and... nothing more than that for now. Everything else will come with time - that's what I mean about strength and skill. Now I definitely have someone to train with, and with an opponent like Arine, my swordsmanship skills will grow very fast, of course I won't become a master swordsman in a month, but the experience will definitely be good...
- That is... if you... well,' Elie hesitated, rubbing her clothes with her fingers, "you can stay with us for the night," Elika suddenly interrupted my train of thought.
- I agree! - I answered without thinking, and the girl was a little surprised.
- Э? I mean, of course! Erm... we just have a few spare rooms! I'll prepare them for you! - She glowed with joy and smiled, quickly disappearing inside the house.
Hmm... by the way, there's a familiar smell coming from the old barn. It might have been there, but I didn't care about it right now. After a final glance around at the flailing girls, I turned around to meet the eyes of a crumpled Elvina. I didn't even realise when she'd managed to get to me from behind.
- Sir, I...
