At this time, the Goblin Killer and the Priestess looked around the room and after finding no more goblins hiding, they moved back outside.
The Priestess finally breathed a sigh of relief, wiping the sweat from her forehead and smiling painfully as she looked at her bloodstained hands. Still... she had to soak herself in goblin blood so they couldn't smell a woman's body odour. Of course, in half a month of such adventures, she was used to it by now, but it was still unpleasant to smell it on her. Like any girl, she was mentally uncomfortable, which sometimes made her eyes so empty and fish-like that any passerby would have suspected something wrong. And looking at the Goblin Killer walking calmly beside her, he would have thought that he was using the priestess as a bait or, even worse, in his bed.
Of course, that was not the case, and at such thoughts the priestess shook her head exhaustedly, keeping pace with her mate.
- Sir, are we going back 'home'? - The priestess addressed Gobs modestly.
'Home' - it was hard to call this place home, for it was very crowded, but the priestess sometimes called the guild "home" out of fatigue. Where else could she rest and replenish her moral strength after such terrible adventures. After all, there was a small hot spring nearby, and she wanted to go there now. To wash away the accumulated fatigue and dirt.
The goblin slayer looked over his shoulder at the priestess's tortured expression.
- Erk...' he muttered, "yes, we're going back..." he gave his verdict in a quiet voice, nodding faintly with his helmet. But continuing to clutch his sword, preparing for anything. He noticed strange bloody marks on the ground. By themselves they didn't stand out in any way, but someone had been here. It was a pity, the marks were very indistinct, but that didn't make Gobs lose his vigilance.
- Someone's been here, brace yourself.
- Eh? Sir, goblins? - The priestess was horrified, clutching her staff with both hands. Sweat beaded on her forehead again, and her eyes glistened with gloom. 'Goblins again,' was the look on her face.
Gobs shook his head, finding it difficult to answer. And they moved in silence towards the exit, preparing for anything....
The priestess, however, was a little tense, following her mate's back.
Gobs remained silent, stepping carefully, clutching the short corroded sword he had picked up from the goblin's body.

Arine was overjoyed and jumped for joy, letting out delighted sighs of joy.
We stepped out of the cave into a small half mountain and the first rays of the bright sun illuminated us. The sky was clear and sparse white clouds floated lazily by themselves. The sun had apparently only recently risen in the sky, giving us such a colourful moment. Nature had long since come alive with its colours and Arine was happily rejoicing, letting out surprised sighs, running up to the trees and groping them. A faint breeze blew around me, giving me a pleasant fresh scent.
Sis was now most like a child who had finally gone for a walk and was seeing the surface for the first time. She looked very cute, and the emotion she was conveying made my head a little foggy.
Looking at her, my lips curved into a smile of their own, and my heart sped up. Too bad she was wearing a helmet now and her beauty was hidden behind her armour. But I rejoiced all the same, for I had never seen anything like it and it was mesmerising. Soon, about a minute later, she ran across the field and came to me with a bouquet of different flowers.
- Brother! Look how beautiful the flowers are! - she squeaked with a touch of sadness, and then she held them up to her helmet and looked at me hopefully, as if asking: 'Can I take my helmet off?'
Probably, if she hadn't been wearing her helmet, her eyes would have shone as bright as stars right now. But as it was, her emotions made the choice for me and I couldn't say no. At least this way, I'll make her happy, what more do I need....
- Eh... but only for a few seconds and take the helmet off with your hands! - I shook my head, trying not to smile. But she noticed that I was pleased and bowed.
- Thank you, little brother! - She squeaked as she took off her helmet and shook her head, causing her silver hair to flip up in the air, and a faint breeze to play with it, as if waiting for it.
*A lump in her throat....
The sight of her happy smile and slightly flushed cheeks made me admire her. Sis was already beautiful: pale and delicate skin; blue and golden eyes; a graceful face with a naive look that made her look aristocratic - all this stirred my heart. Now she brought the bouquet to her face and sucked in the scent as hard as she could, causing her eyes to glisten treacherously with tears and she squeezed her eyes shut, wrinkled her nose, and sneezed loudly.
- Oh...' she brought her hand up to her face.
I laughed, and my little sister lowered her eyes in embarrassment. I hugged her and ruffled her hair.
- They're still beautiful, little brother,' she smiled, snuggling into my chest.
For the first time in my life, I felt something other than battle... such beautiful feelings... I don't want to forget them. It was that moment that I tried to burn into my memory. I don't want to forget it.
- Thank you, brother, I love you so much...' she whispered peacefully, hugging me with all her might.
I gently stroked her head in return, smiling sincerely. I would have enjoyed it like this all day. But, not everything is so rosy.
It's a shame that such a beautiful moment has to be interrupted. With the arrival of the strangers, I mentally asked my little sister to put her helmet back on, which she did with obvious reluctance. When she put it on, I nonchalantly turned around.
- Hello, Goblin Killer! - I looked round at the wary guest, who was in no hurry to show decorum.
- Who... you? - said the warrior. Dressed in a cheap-looking helmet, dingy leather armour, with a small round shield and a sword of rather strange length.
- Hmm? Just a traveller, or would-be adventurer of platinum rank! - I stood in a pathos pose, raising the 'usual prepared' sword to the sky, waiting for Gobs's reaction and that....
There was silence.
He looked at me for a moment, tilted his head slightly, and put the sword back in its scabbard.
- I see, - he took a step forward, as if he had forgotten about us, and behind him came the priestess, who tilted her head in bewilderment and gave us both a look.
- You must be the newcomers of the china rank? - Gobs walked past us and the priestess stopped beside us.
- Oh, you are very clever, my lady. - I bowed elegantly, or at least tried to. And as a matter of fact, we're going to get this particular rank... so, no lies!
My sister looked at me with strange feelings. And the priestess blushed slightly, smiling modestly.
- I'm sorry, but there are no more goblins here...' she faded her eyes, turning her gaze to Gobs as if to say, 'He's the one who killed them all. - So you'd better get back to the guild,' she finished with some concern.
At the priestess' words, Gobs crossed his arms, standing not far away from us and listening to our conversation. By emotion, the priestess was pure and innocent, she really cared about us - strangers to her. Actually, she's a very strange girl, but knowing who she is, it wasn't as surprising as if - Gobs started speaking more than two words at a time.
- Oh, that's how it is. That's depressing, but we already know that and we've seen it! - I laughed heartily.
- Eh? So it was you? - She marvelled, clasping one hand to her chest and nodding with a sigh of relief. - Uhhh...
- М? Yeah, sorry if we scared you, but we had to check. Eh... well, since there are no more goblins... - I looked at the priestess: her cute and a little childish face attracted my eyes, in short, I wanted to take such a cute creature, but, clenching my hands into a fist, I rolled the desire back, - and I'm sorry that I did not tell you at once, but we are not adventurers yet.
The priestess's eyes rounded.
- Uh, what do you mean? - She was surprised again, looking at our appearance with a thoughtful eye and drawing some conclusions for herself, she looked doubtfully into my helmet.
- Well, we've only recently entered the world and so we haven't had a chance to register yet. So, if you don't mind, we'd like to join you on your journey...' I lowered my head modestly, 'you see, we're lost, we've lost our supplies, and we don't know where the guild is...
The priestess flushed with sympathy.
- Oh! It's good that you're all right! - The priestess exhaled with relief, clenching her fist against her chest. - Of course, we'd be happy to help you! - She smiled, glancing at Gobs, who nodded dejectedly in agreement.
He was suspicious of us, by the way, but since we weren't goblins, he didn't really care. He was just doing his job of keeping an eye on his surroundings.
I, on the other hand, had a little idea.
- Ooh! Thank you so much! - I threw my arms around the priestess, which made her blush. It was obvious that she was new to such a show of gratitude. At the same time, I was able to accidentally feel her ass and run my hand along her slim waist, which meant I was holding her close to me. It was a pity, only fleetingly and only the bottom, but I was able to enjoy such a short action.
'And she's all right, soft and slim. Even has breasts and they're soft. Hmm, she reminds me of a pillow. Too bad it smells like goblin blood! But she couldn't hide her odour and it tickled my nose pleasantly' - I made a verdict, noting for myself that I wouldn't mind to take her to my harem. Why? She is sweet, innocent, kind, kind, economical, beautiful and good in physique. She'd be the one to marry! It's a pity she's partial to Gobs, but it's a matter of time... I'll try, of course, but I won't get too excited, like an annoying drunkard.
The priestess panicked, pouting sweetly. Her eyes darted round to avoid looking at me, and her arms hugged me back, as if to say, 'If I've been hugged, I must hug you back for decency's sake!'
- N-n-nothing t-t-t-that! We-we-we-are- supposed-to-help-people-in-need! And-and-and please, w-you can... let me go...' she squirmed with embarrassment, lowering her gaze to the ground and glancing timidly at me.
My little sister stood silently behind me, modestly clutching the bouquet of flowers in her hands. Only occasionally did she glance at Gobs, who was waiting for us.
- Oh, I'm sorry. Just a little emotional... heh-heh-heh... Ahem, my name is Arien, by the way, and what should I call such a lovely person? - I reluctantly pulled away, leaning in slightly as if to apologise for such an embarrassing action.
The priestess stammered.
- Honey? - She blushed even more than before, steam coming out of her ears. Her hands clutched her staff and her gaze wandered to the ground. - Ah-ah-ah Astyphina... r-r-glad to know you! - And the traditional Japanese bow.
The contact was actually made....
- Are you finished? - A muffled voice came from beneath Gobs' helmet, drawing three stares.
The priestess was the first to react, nodding her head with a modest smile.
- Ah, yes. Sorry to keep you waiting! - I picked up the sword that had fallen out of my hands, returning it to its prepared sheath next to the black sword that was also in its black sheath.
- Erk...' he shook his head, waving his hand at us, calling us to follow him. We moved after him, but I didn't stop chatting with the priestess, peppering her with more embarrassing and sometimes common words.
- Mmm, so this is your little sister? - Astyphina tilted her head, no longer resembling a boiled crayfish, and nodded, turning her gaze to the modest Arine, who was walking beside me, clutching a bouquet of flowers.
- Yes, my sister and I studied under the same teacher and now we are travelling together! And our dream is to become the strongest adventurers! - I enthusiastically tapped my chest, continuing to noodle, so to speak.
'Bro... weird,' my sister commented.
- 'I'm sorry Astyphina, but my little sister is a bit shy and not used to other people. Therefore, she's a little embarrassed to socialise with anyone but me.
The priestess nodded with a smile and understanding.
- N-nothing, hehehehe,' she chuckled. - I'm used to it by now,' and shifted her gaze to the Goblin Killer's back.
I shifted my gaze to Gobs as well. His back was straight as a sword, and his gait was wary. He had a small bag behind him, and his armour was tattered. Well, he was the same as when we first met him. Right, I should get his name and make the first bridge with him. And to do that, we should introduce ourselves to each other... I guess, maybe....
- Ahem, I'm sorry Astyphina, but I'm going to have to leave you two alone for a second! - With a nod to my little sister to keep the priestess occupied, I quickly made my way towards the goblin killer, hearing behind me, 'I see you like flowers?'
- Pardon my immodest question, but you still haven't told me your name, Goblin Killer! - I leaned forward slightly, crossing my arms behind my back. Such an odd pose was... feminine... but I didn't care.
The one looked at me and sighed dejectedly:
- Erk...
- Eric? - I grinned. It didn't sound like a name, he probably just sighed. However, I pretended to taste the name. - Hmm, Eric... Eric the Goblin Killer! That's a good name!
He shook his head.
- М? It's not your name? Then what is it? Well, well, well! I want to get to know you better! - I pressed my fists to my chin, reminding him with my whole look, 'I'm not going to leave or let go of you until you tell me what I want!'
There was a brief silence. Only behind me, Astyphina kept saying something, and my little sister occasionally answered her.
Finally, Gobs, as if preparing himself for something, said in a muffled voice.
- '.....'
