Yes... their fusion is a very useful skill and it was about time it was invented by them. Actually, they had merged together before when absorbing facial expressions and had already taken the first step towards this, in their mind, 'skill'. It was as if it had been an epiphany from above. But because they were not used to it, they could not repeat it immediately, and only when I gave them an incentive to show their strength and abilities, they were on fire to prove to me that they were not simple weak girls, they managed to do it after two battles. In the next battle they wanted me to stay out of it and stand back and watch them work. Three stumps were chosen for this and the girls then showed me what their 'fusion' felt like. Joined together, they increased in volume and became two-coloured, like Yin and Yang, the sisters harmoniously intertwined together. Then, recreating their tentacles, they made a powerful leap and reached the stumps in a matter of seconds, shredding two of them with swift blows, leaving one inside them, quickly dissolving it like that. The stumps were killed in a matter of seconds. More importantly, they had acted in sync. Such power... was very revealing, as I was personally convinced of later, asking them to attack me. At first the sisters were categorically against attacking their 'beloved master', but then, after a few words about the benefits of training in this form, and the fact that I will not be hurt, and I will be glad, from the word at all, they agreed to go out against me in their new form.

I did not use my sword, of course, for fear of hurting them, but no one forbade me to use the scabbard, which I did. The girls attacked hesitantly and sluggishly at first, and their tenacles were easy to repel with their scabbards or dodge altogether, but after my 'disappointed' sigh, they tensed up.

'Come on sisters, you shouldn't be afraid to attack, be confident! You don't want to...' - I finished before I could finish, and then the sisters made up their own minds about what they didn't want and it was on.

'Master, forgive us for being rude, but we will not back down!' - they synchronously uttered, casting aside their indecision and I fell in a flash. Yes... it was very unexpected when I was grabbed by my leg and fell on my back and quickly braided my body, restraining my movements. And I didn't use amplification... even accelerated perception didn't help me in my first serious fight. And I realised - I was the one who was relaxed and didn't take the sisters seriously, which they cleverly took advantage of.

'Master, are you satisfied now?' - they asked gleefully, braiding me with care. Ugh, it was a good thing I was in my armour or I would have been raped again.

'You... well done, sisters...' I said disconsolately, stroking their bodies, 'then, let's do it again, and this time - I'll be completely serious!'

Alas, the reinforcement didn't help me much. Yes, I was fast and agile, I could dodge their lunges and tenacles and block them with my scabbard, but what could I do against a single organism? And against two tentacles using only a scabbard? Not only were there two of them, but they were stronger and more agile than me. Even I, with my accelerated perception, was losing out. And I'm afraid, if I hadn't had it, they would have put me down much more easily, but as it was, I galloped like a mountain lamb. Neither me nor them, as they say. In the end, the more we fought, the more difficult it became for me, until eventually I was caught, cornered, and gently twisted in their arms again....

'Master... we love you... please don't force yourself...' - they uttered with tenderness, braiding me all over. They felt so much love and concern for me that my heart trembled for a moment in the grip of vague feelings.

Yeah... now my sense of dignity had clearly suffered, but that's okay - it was a very rewarding experience. After all, as long as I could train with Ram and Rem, my swordsmanship skills grew like yeast. I even raised my agility and spirit by one point! Raising my body enhancement and beast instinct by one level at the same time! And that couldn't help but make me happy, because I had gained valuable experience fighting against such a difficult opponent! And it brought me down to earth like a sinking stone in the ocean, I finally realised that I wasn't as strong as I had imagined. Huh, I used to think I was pretty strong, if not a mage, then a swordsman, for sure, and now, I lost to two sisters, even though in a training battle... Eh... and I just started to think that I can beat the same Bradorez, aka Goblin Killer. And he has much more experience against a huge number of enemies, and what's more - he has been fighting for years, since the destruction of his village. And here I am, against him? A man who's only ever seen a sword in games? I've held nothing but tools in my hands, no sword!

- What a fool I am. - I didn't know what I was feeling, I didn't know what I was feeling. There was vague resentment, anger at myself and fear... and something else that made me sad. I wanted to scream, to swear, but I was able to restrain my impulse, sensing my sisters' emotions. In front of them, I didn't want to snap...gotta keep myself busy, it's much better than thinking about bad things.

'It's okay girls, I'm glad you've gotten strong, and the training...' I mumbled, 'must continue, we must get stronger, much stronger...'

The girls blanched, feeling confused.

'H-okay, master... we'll try!'

And I was rolled on the ground again, for a while. Now in any free time we had, we were always training... getting stronger.

Now that the cloud of vapour had completely dissipated, I hurriedly approached my sisters and quickly made my way to the battle site, an arched passageway, but before I could do anything, Rem jumped on me and would have raped me if I had been in normal clothes.

'Master, I've won! Rem wants all the goodies!' - were her words as she wrapped her body around my groin and rolled onto my back. Good thing I was wearing my armour and she started rubbing impatiently, waiting for me to act. I had to gently disengage her by stroking her body.

'Rem, we should start by checking what fell off the big stump and then we can talk about the yummy stuff!'

'Mmm? Fallen out? Master, do you need another twig?' - she wondered, stiffening and stopping to rub her groin against mine.

'Rem! No need to disturb master, are you really that impatient?' - snorted Ram, jumping into my arms and holding a wooden branch in her tenacla, but a little different from the usual twig. This branch was different in its appearance, so I immediately used an assessment on it.

The twig is the key to the hidden room

Strength - 100%

Quality - rare

Material - live tree

Value - disposable

'Ram, praise for your powers of observation!'

'Thank you, master!'

'Hey!' whispered Rem unhappily, 'Rem wants a proper goodie! Master, you promised!' - Like a cranky child, she pouted, though... from the look of her I'm not sure, but that was the feeling.

I had to promise her that the 'goodie' would come later, after I had finished my business and we had checked the place where the giant stump had come from and a couple of other things to do, which was funny, Ram supported me and condemned her sister for being impatient, because, as she said, 'We are the master's maids, and only he decides when to give us our due reward! Don't try the master's patience!'

Eventually, Rem became sad and reluctantly peeled herself off my groin, apologised for her impatient behaviour, and I finally stood up. Well rewarded the sisters for a good fight by giving them both a peck on the cheek. To which they gurgled with happiness and glowed again, as if the conversation about the yummy treat had never happened.

Finally, I was able to look round the place where the stump had come from. The first thing I saw was a small empty room where the big guy had come from, it was just as ordinary as the other rooms, nothing really stood out, and the second thing I noticed when I looked closely at the whole place was a passage down, that is, there was a step ladder down in the floor, spiralling downwards and lit by a faint light.

Yeah, when I found it, I was even happy, it's a way down to other monsters and things along with treasures! But the joy was short-lived. I realised that this is not the end and we are not going up. It's getting harder and harder to get out of this maze. Eh, it's a bit depressing. When I looked at the minicart, I didn't realise where Elvina had gone. How far away or what city she was even in. Hell, there's not much time left before canon, and my plans are falling apart like a matchbox right before my eyes. It's kind of sad.

Apparently, even the sisters felt my sadness and tried to convey their confidence to me.

'Master, when you feel sad - Ram also feels bad, please don't torture yourself with worry!'

'Yes, yes Master, you are very strong and you will cope with everything! And we will help you and always support you!'

Their words were sincere and their feelings were genuine and warm. So much so that I slapped myself in the face and shook my head, turning back around to walk out of the doorway.

'Thank you sisters, I'm glad you're with me. And from now on, if I have any bad emotions again, I'm relying on you!' - no time to be sad, it's time to check the stash and then start the skill evolution! Sure, it'll suck if the passage closes, but something tells me it was a local boss and the passage will stay open that way. And if it doesn't, we've got plenty more of the same places we haven't been to yet.

The sisters nuzzled gently in contentment and joy, and then gave out with glee:

'We're happy to try, Master!' - They wrapped themselves around my shoulders, gurgling contentedly.

Hmm, I remembered that Rem could sense living things.

'And yes, Rem, do you remember those locked rooms? - I asked, and after waiting for her mental nod I continued, 'you can sense particularly strong creatures, or those that smell more savoury, right?'

Remus squirmed.

'Of course, master! There was only one I could sense like that, but he was in that locked room and we couldn't get him,' she said a little sadly, 'Master, have you really figured out a way for us to get them?' - she finished happily, glowing with anticipation and even purred, that is, gurgled.

The hitherto quiet Ram listened with interest and also squealed with impatience, and together with the younger one they began to gurgle, squirming with anticipation.

'I have an idea how to get to them, but I'll need your help to do it!'

'Count on us, master!'

'So, listen...first things first.'
