"Thanks for the ride". She said, flashing him a small, tight-lipped smile. "I'll see you later."
She stepped out of the car, her coat left forgotten on the seat. Knox stayed and watched as she walked up the stairs toward the house. He was about to drive off when he noticed the coat and frowned.
"She might need this". He muttered to himself as he looked at the house before him.
Grabbing the coat, he quickly got out of the car and started walking toward the house with the aim of returning her coat but things were destined to turn the other way.
As he reached the front steps and then the door, he was just about to knock when the door flew open, and there came Olivia barreling down, her face wet with tears, a sob caught in her throat. She didn't even see him in her haste and through her blurry vision, nearly running into him in her rush.
