Charlotte's POV
I lost my mom and dad. I can't walk anymore. I can't be with my brothers, even though I wish I could.
It's all because of that fucking bastard. He ruined my life.
And now, I can't express anything. I'm broken beyond repair.
I won't be my cheerful self anymore.
The world thinks I'm dead.
Maybe I am. Because I'm dying inside. Mom and Dad are gone, their bodies consumed by flames. The scene is still fresh in my mind. The gunshot. The blood. I can't take it anymore. I don't want to live, but my brothers need me.
I have to live for them. But I know I won't be able to live normally anymore. I can't run in gardens; I can't prank my brothers. I feel too desperate.
I have to live with this. Maybe I can survive. Maybe, or maybe not.
The Frostheart mansion, which I once thought was a fairy tale, exists. Coldest winters and dreamiest springs, surrounded by lush green forests. And the Carter mansion alongside it, with a mysterious vibe. The Frostheart mansion stood regal, with its luxurious French interior. But I can't even enjoy any of it.
This is going to be my new home. My world is now isolated from everything outside. My dogs were brought here. I have everything. Yet, I'm alone.
Third Person POV
*After one week...*
Charlotte was feeling depressed and had locked herself in her room.
Alfred informed Caspian and Caleb.
Both rushed to the mansion.
The sound of things being broken could be heard.
She was staying in a temporary room while her room was being prepared.
"Aaaahhhhh....." Charlotte screamed.
Caleb and Caspian rushed to the door.
"I want Mama. I want Papa. I want Cas and Cal. I don't want to be alone. I need everyone. I want to walk. I can't live like this. I don't want to live like this..." Charlotte was screaming, crying, and mumbling.
"Baby, we're here. You're not alone. Open the door, Lottie. See, Cas and Cal are here for you," Caleb said desperately.
"I need everyone. I don't want to be alone," Charlotte mumbled.
Both Caspian and Caleb hit the door hard and broke it down.
What they saw made them cry.
Their baby sister. Their Lottie had fainted in a room full of broken things, mumbling.
"I don't want to live," Charlotte mumbled.
Caspian took her into his arms and hugged her. He cried. Caleb did too.
The three let it all out.
They took Charlotte to the medical wing and had her wounds treated.
Then they took her to her new room, where they both hugged her until she fell asleep.
