When I got to the car, Lucy, Kiwi and Judy were in a near fainting state... they were obviously not feeling well and I noticed it without even looking at them.

- What do you want from me?

- Silence...and food.....

I nodded understandingly and immediately took out some containers from the boot, which I handed to the girls and they started to devour very quickly without even noticing what they were eating. But it didn't upset me, I went back to the boot and took out three bottles of drinks with vitamins in them.

After handing the drinks to the girls I finally took my place of honour in the car and nodded to Panam.

- Let's go home...

- To the clan?

- Yes...

I grinned. During this time we had somehow stopped thinking of the flat in the city as home. A base for temporary accommodation? Yes... But not a home we wanted to stay in. And all the girls realised that, even Judy, who was partly attached to the flat because it had been left to her by her grandparents.

- Okay...

Panam pressed the accelerator pedal and the car started smoothly....

- А?

Judy blinked in surprise.

- Quiet, everyone!

She was clearly panicking and it was just very obvious, and when her eyes lit up, signalling that she was talking to someone, I knew that something had gone wrong....

There was silence in the car for a while, and then I got a call from Judy, and I looked at her in surprise and answered it.

- Are you the young man who turned my girl's head?

Two avatars appeared in front of me, the first belonged to Judy, who was looking away guiltily, and the second... a young girl with grey hair, but wearing a bonnet on her head and a dark blue shirt.

- Um... excuse me...

I was a bit confused by the pressure of this girl, though more likely still a woman, as the hair is most likely grey.

- ...and who are you exactly?

- What?!

On the face of the girl ... damn, how difficult, the current care allows you to make of quite old women young beauties and although I understand that in front of me ... not a young lady, I can not realise it.

- You're dating a girl and you can't even recognise her beloved and only grandmother?!

- Kha...

I coughed and looked at the avatar in surprise... grandma? Then I looked over at Judy. And she nodded in embarrassment.

So it's grandma after all.

- Hello, honourable Ainara Alvarez.

- So you've at least heard of me...

- How could you?!

I shook my head.

- How can you not know about your girlfriend's favourite grandmother?! That would be a crime on my part! Yes, I didn't expect you to look so young.....

- Am I supposed to be old?

There was a threat in the woman's voice.

- I was only saying that I expected my girlfriend's favourite grandmother to be more maturely beautiful....

I got a suspicious look.

- You got away with it. Do you love my girl?

The question was asked without any delay and the answer was given without any delay or doubt.

- Yes. I do. I would give my life for her... preferably someone else's, so as not to make her miserable by her death.

- That's a good answer.

Girl... woman... Ainara nodded at such an answer coming from me.

- I heard that you have other girls besides my girl.....

It wasn't a question, but I felt it necessary to answer.

- Yes... I have a total of five girls who will eventually become wives.

- Again without a shred of doubt.

Ainara nodded and looked at me with a measure of respect.

- You know, even from that brat's early childhood I realised that her love life would not be easy... and it wasn't even because she liked girls.....

She shook her head.

- Grandma!

- Don't grandma me! I have to talk to your beau, and since you wouldn't introduce me to him yourself, I've decided to take the matter into my frail, elderly hands....

To show her not at all elderly hands, Ainara lifted them, revealing delicate hands with neat manicures. Judy's eye twitched and I smiled at the sight.

- And you two get along well...

- No!

- Of course...

I grinned as Judy denied having a good relationship with her grandmother, even though she spoke very warmly of her, and Ainara confirmed it. It was so funny.

- You know, I think I'd like to see it for myself... Ainara, would you like to come and visit us?

- А?!

Both members of the Alvarez family said it at the same time.

- I'd love to meet Judy and her family.

They gave me a suspicious look.

- ...but I'm not really looking forward to going back to Knight City. It's a rotten town.

- I don't disagree... it's not a good town, but we live in the Aldecaldo clan now, we have our own Behemoth that we've converted for our own use and there's room for you and your husband.

- Hmm...

I've been examined again.

- On the whole... I might even agree to such an offer... but getting to you....

- Don't go on! If you accept, I'll send a car for you.

- You're one of the rich ones, aren't you? You're corporate, aren't you?

- No.

I shook my head.

- Although my mum wanted to make me a model corporat and even got me into the academy. But... it didn't work out. So I went solo and now I'm working on fixer-upper orders.

- You make a lot of money?

- Enough to support my family.

- Yeah?

Once again, I've been given a sceptical look.

- Bah, it was thanks to David that I started earning a lot more and was able to transfer the money that surprised you so much.

- Really?

- Yeah...

- Interesting...

Ainara nodded thoughtfully.

- You know, Judy, your new boyfriend makes me happy... not like your previous girlfriends... I didn't like them at all, but I was ready to turn a blind eye for the sake of your happiness. Now... I'll even come to your place.

She nodded again, confirming her words.

- Great, text me the address and I'll send a car to pick you up.

- Okay.

We talked for another ten minutes until Ainara decided to end the conversation and disconnect. And then Judy and I were alone.

- David... thank you.

I looked at her in surprise.

- For what?

- For talking to Ba--

- It's kind of normal to talk to the only female relative of your favourite girl....

Judy shook her head sadly.

- ...Isn't it?

- Well... Maiko had a rather acrimonious interaction with my Ba back in the day. Anyway, she didn't like her and the feeling was mutual. So things didn't work out there. And Parker.

Judy's avatar was a bit of a wreck.

- ...She tried to like her...tried really hard. So ingratiating... anyway, she really annoyed Ba and refused to understand why. And you talked to her normally... in your usual style and she could sense it. So thank you.

- You're welcome.

That was the end of the conversation and we disconnected.

- And what was that?

Becca, being the most active, was the first to ask a question.

- It was Bub... Ainara, Judy's relative.

- Wait, related? I thought she only had a grandmother.....

That's what Panam said while still driving the car.

- Mm-hmm.

I nodded.

- ...she was.

- Why didn't you say it properly then?

Kiwi looked at me with interest at this question.

- It's just that you haven't seen her.

- А?

All the girls looked at me in surprise, and even Panam looked away from the road to hold a slightly surprised look at me, but quickly returned it to the road, jerking the steering wheel to the right and overtaking some small car.

- She looks younger than me!

- Bullshit!

Becca didn't hold back, but from the looks on the other girls' faces, they were expressing the same word that their friend had literally shouted.

- No...

I shook my head.

- ...Maybe I'm embellishing a bit, but honestly, put you all in a row and she'd be your age. I didn't even immediately believe it was my grandmother, she looked so young.

- It's just that my grandmother always took good care of herself, and when I started to send more money, she started to spend even more on her appearance....

- Plastics?

All the girls looked at Judy with interest.

- Not just...

She shook her head at Lucy's question.

- ...and synthetic organs, though she dreams of real ones, but there's no money for them, you really have to be a corporatist, and not from the rank and file. So she settled on synthetic.

- Yeah...

The girls looked at each other in shock.

- Well, I have some very interesting news for you....

- What is it?

- I've invited Ainara to visit us, along with her husband. So if she accepts the invitation and sends me a...

When I opened the message I saw that it had been sent by Ainara, and there was an address and a convenient time for her car to arrive. Naturally, given that the driver still has to get there.

- ...already sent it.

- А?

Judy looked at me in shock.

- She sent you the address?!

- Yes, and when it would be convenient for her to come to our house.

- Gross.

She shook her head.

- ...I thought you two were joking and she...she took it seriously!

- I wasn't actually joking either...

I shrugged.

- ...and I'd love to have your grandparents visit us. So get ready, they're coming to visit us in three months. And yes, everybody get ready.

I took a look at the girls.

- Is there anything in particular you need to do?

- Nothing...

I shrugged.

- ...just be ready to host. That's all I need from you... and no, I'm lying, I need you not to pretend and to be yourselves when talking to Ainara.

- Um...and me?

Becca looked at me in surprise.

- And you. We all have to be ourselves, though I can tell from our brief interactions it won't be easy since Ainara's a bit of a pest... however...

I grinned slyly and paused a little longer.

- What?!

The girls couldn't stand it, however, Panam asked the question.

- It was Judy who would get the hardest, as she was Ainara's favourite target for teasing at the moment.

- Ttc... it's nothing... I'll get over it....

But despite my words I could see Judy was really excited to see her grandmother soon.
