Chapter 20 - Unfortunate ending!

At this moment, another gray text appeared in front of Alex's eyes.

[The recording is at the limit. Forced stopping the video recording. Please assign the location of the saved file.]

He just lay on the ground and thought of the 'storage space'.

What he liked about these eyes was that they worked like a voice command, where he didn't have to say those commands aloud.

With a single thought, the storage screen appeared in front of him. He focused on the first trial folder. Soon he saw a bunch of other folders inside it.

He thought, 'Create a new folder (Trial recordings) and save all the recordings of this trial inside this folder.'The moment he thought of these things, he saw a new folder emerge and a video icon moved inside the folder.

He smiled and blinked twice, which closed the nano screen. His vision recovered. There were a lot of features he still needed to discover, but he liked what he used so far.

Alex took a long breath to suppress the pain and looked at the blue notification hovering in front of his face.

[Do you want to leave the game scenario to receive your reward? (yes/no)]

[Notice: Hunter apprentice Viper, please select the option within 5 minutes.]

A new notice also popped up below it. Now, this was a tough decision. He knew the importance of these trails, he could still earn more points by staying in the game.

But if he stayed, then the only time he could leave the game was when the game ended or he died.

Not making any rash decision, Alex pulled his bloodstained T-shirt.

It was a gruesome sight. Even though his shoulder blade survived, the dog had already pulled out a coin-sized chunk of flesh from his shoulder.

With the amount of blood dripping down his shoulder, he knew he didn't have much time. If he wanted to stay in the game, he had to find a doctor.

Alex did not lose his calm as he pressed the wound with his healthy arm and sat down.

He looked at his leg only to find a bunch of fabric barely sticking to his left leg and there was nothing left below his knees.

The dog did a number on his pants. The good news this time was that the dog bit him from the front, so there was no missing chunk.

As he tried to move his leg, a jolt of pain made him shiver. It looked like the dog's canines had punctured his leg muscles. He tried to put some pressure on his legs, only to feel such intense pain that he almost passed out.

Alex closed his eyes and thought to himself, 'I will only continue if there is a clinic nearby.'

He clenched his teeth and slid toward the nearby wall. He pushed himself against the wall and started walking out of the alley without even looking at the dog's corpse.

As he dragged himself out of the alley, he saw more pedestrians around this side. Some of them noticed his condition and rushed toward him.

When they saw blood all over him, a few women screamed.

Alex looked at a nearby man and asked, "Is there any clinic or hospital nearby?"

The man nodded in panic. "Yeah, there's a government hospital just around the corner."

He didn't bother responding and tried to move in the hospital's direction.

At this moment, a motorcycle stopped in front of him, and a man with no helmet shouted, "Brother, get on my bike. I'll drop you there."

Alex squinted at this person. 'Is this another hunter?' But when he saw the fear and concern all over the man's face, he doubted a hunter could fake those emotions.

Alex glanced at the notification in front of him and then nodded at the man. Even if this guy was acting, he could leave the game world at any moment. There's no way he was going to die in his first game.

This was the biggest form of protection he had for the next five minutes. Alex's eyes flashed with determination as he sat sideways on the bike, ready to jump off at any moment.

Thankfully, nothing like that happened, as the man took him right in front of a rundown government hospital.

Not only that, the biker also supported him into the doctor's room.

As the doctor was examining his wound, Alex stared at the notification that was flashing in red.

Less than 30 seconds left if he did not choose, then the game would select the automatic stay option.

He was really lucky that the hospital was just a few steps away from where he fought the dog. He asked the doctor, "Do I need to go through surgery or something?"

The doctor cleaned the blood around his shoulder and shook his head. "Nah, there's no need for surgery. Medicine will be sufficient. But it will leave a scar."

"There's no problem with that. But when can I move again?"

The doctor took his sweet time while Alex tapped his finger on the bed in anxiety. "For 15 days, you can't stand—"

The moment Alex heard it, his eyes flashed in disappointment and he decisively tapped the yes button in frustration. 'Fck it.'

With that, everything went dark around him.

The next second, a bright light hit his face as he found himself back at the table with the snack he had just ordered.

Alex looked around and found everything was the same as when he had entered the game. He took out his phone to check the time, only to find that less than a minute had passed in the real world.

"What a bizarre technology." He praised the genius CEO of the Hunter organization. That guy was truly an otherworldly genius.

At that time, it hit him that his first trial was a total disaster.

Alex tried to calm himself. He just sat there, thinking about the trial game. About things that happened and what went wrong.

Even with all the preparation, a fcking dog almost killed him. "Fck!"

He was not in the mood to eat anymore, so he just left the food on the table and randomly walked into the market, lost in his thoughts.
