The car sped down the road, easily bypassing multitudes of other cars. Klaus took control of the steering wheels whilst Xavier's gaze lingered out of the windows, his gaze swept across the streets as the car sped into the distance.
Suddenly, Xavier tensed. "Klaus. Stop!"
"Klaus! Klaus!" He hurriedly called out to his brother who chimed out in annoyance, "What!"
Klaus's hand jerked on the wheel, his foot slamming the brake. The car screeched to a halt, leaving a sharp arc on the Pasphalt.
A material produced by mixing various natural resources found within the earth. Used to create various architectural structures. Manufactured by the Pasphalt Architectural Heights Industry.
Rumor has it that the industry is connected to a powerful family. Well, the rumors have enough valid reasons. No industry would rise to success within the short span of fifty years...at least not in such a powerful Major City... As Xavier allowed his thoughts to trail off. A voice reverberated into his ears, bringing him out of his short reverie.
"What the hell was that all about?
Xavier pointed out of the window, his voice trembling lightly. "There."
Klaus followed his brother's fingers to a brick wall made of Pasphalt. Wanted posters adorning its surface. His blood ran cold. "You've got to be kidding me..."
Xavier had a grim expression etched across his face. On the walls, there were various posters about a wanted criminal. Suspected of murder, impersonation, rape and so much more. But that wasn't really what disturbed or annoyed Klaus.
The cause of disturbance and anger surging within Klaus was due to the fact that the image of the wanted criminal was unmistakably him... His face stared back at him- same eyes, same nose, same charismatic charm.
It was in no way different from him... Almost as though it was a perfect replica of his. He didn't need to be told to know that the shape-shifter had made use of his meat suit to commit some really serious crimes.
Anger surged within Klaus, his fists tightening on the wheel. "That son of a butch used my body to do all this." Even after the bastard is fucking dead, it still won't leave the living in peace.
His hands were clenched together, he breathed in and out as he tried to calm down.
Xavier hesitated for a while, his gaze solemn as he said, "You don't have to be this stressed out. We have already eliminated it."
Klaus gave him a blank stare, he bit onto his lower lip before he spoke through gritted teeth, "Easy for you to say.
"He wasn't making use of your meat suit anyway."
Xavier exhaled sharply, his gaze turning back to the bustling road.
"Let's just keep moving." Before anyone sees you. Xavier thought in exasperation with a slight tinge of fear evident in his trembling voice.
Reluctantly, Klaus pulled the car back into gear, but the anger ever continuously simmered under his skin.
They drove in silence, the windows rolled up while the weight of the past few days hung in the air.
As they passed through the city streets. One among the hundred...no to be more precise...one hundred and thirty streets within New Orlean
A TV screen in a shop window caught Xavier's attention. He leaned closer, watching the live news feed.
On the screen, a gray house could be seen in sight.
The military agents busted into the house, making their way through several rooms before they found a woman. She was tied to a chair and a man who was bleeding unceasingly through the circlic gap on his neck could be seen on the ground. A pool of blood pooled around the severed head.
Straps of fingers, tongue, and some more body parts littered the ground.
The scene before them was enough to deeply shake most of the agents.
A figure suddenly ran across a room. Casting a shadow onto the room which the military agents were in... They immediately caught sight of the shadow, tracing it to the figure who had his back facing them whilst holding onto a sharp knife.
The sharp knife had blood glistening across its body, casting an eerie reddish shade across the room whilst it dripped onto the ground...sending light unheard echoes running across the rooms.
"Stop right there!" Multiple loud voices tore through the air.
The figure had a wide grin creeping up his face. He side glanced backward, revealing his face- Klaus's face.
Having already completed his revenge plan, he had a light smile on his face as he dashed outwards, amidst the terrifying bullets that tore through the air at a terrifying speed.
KAAA!!! KAAA!!! KAAA!! He had a grim expression on his face before smashing through the eerie dark window.
BAAANG!!! SHATTER!!!
The glass crumbled under his might. He landed on the ground, rolling for a while before getting back onto his feet.
Multiple bullets easily tore through the air at an incredulous pace, yet only two managed to pierce through the shape-shifter, and since they weren't silver bullets. It did little to no harm.
Within the blink of an eye...The shape-shifter disappeared from their line of sight.
Hmm, Klaus's brows got slightly narrowed. Wondering what could have kept Xavier's attention at bay, his eyes darted towards the window. One of the multiple TV screens came into his line of sight.
"Oh great... Just great," He said through gritted teeth. His hands were tightly clenched. He felt like strangling the shape-shifter. But unfortunately... The frigging poor bastard was already dead. Fuck it! Fuck it all!
He exhaled lightly, trying to release the pent-up emotions.
Xavier turned his head towards his brother. He hesitated for a while, not knowing what to say.
After a few seconds of obvious struggle, "We just have to wait for a while,"
He paused for a second, forcing a smile before he added, "The cops must have gotten to Hander's house by now."
"Yeah." Klaus's voice was hoarse. "Let's just hope the cops figure it out before they come after me next."
"You don't have to worry about this. As long as the cops arrive at Hander's house. He would most likely explain everything to them..." Hopefully.
Klaus was silent for a while before muttering.
"Hopefully, he doesn't forget to talk about the impersonation."

In front of Hander's blue house, the police were wrapping up their investigation.
Hander nods his head, "Yes that's how it happened. Luckily for us, two detectives showed up and saved us, thank God."
"Praise be to Christo." The cops chorused reverently.
The officers listened closely, taking notes.
Hander rubbed his temples. " I'm pretty sure Fenar was impersonating one of the detectives. Yeah... that's why they stepped in."
The senior officer nodded, "Everything now makes sense. The detective and his partner were probably trying to stop him. In retaliation, Fenar decided to impersonate one of the detectives."
His dim eyes slowly lit up.
"Which means he has probably been impersonating others."
Another officer, a balded man who held onto a baton chimed in, "This way... He will never be caught and at the end of the day, the crimes would fall on the detective."
Another officer muttered, "What a crafty bastard. This way he pins everything on the real detective. Genius."
The corporal's mouth slightly twitched, before a light smile slowly crept up his face.
"Anyway, it's good to know that you and your family are now away from harm's length."
"Thanks to the detectives." Hander had a light smile adorning his face before shaking hands with the corporal, "Also once again, thanks, Corporal Senogascar."
Senogascar shook his head, "Nothing worth mentioning. We literally didn't even do anything."
After the exchange of handshake, Senogascar turned his head towards the officers, "Alright boys. Pack it up and let's get moving."
The senior police officer immediately followed behind the corporal after the officers' salutations in reply to his command.
Starting the car engines, the various vehicles immediately moved into the distance.
Hander held his wife in his arms, giving her a peck on the forehead. She rested her head against his chest whilst he bade farewells to the officers.

Approximately thirty minutes had passed since the officers left Hander's home.
Xavier's gaze shifted towards his brother, "I guess it should have been dealt with by now."
He paused for a second, before he added, "Or what do you think?"
"Probably," Klaus replied with an expressionless look. But his trembling hands said another story entirely.
He exhaled lightly before stepping on the pedal.
A few minutes later, just as they had expected. Some cops were stationed at the end of the city.
Klaus had a grim expression creeping up his face.
His heart pounded as he considered hitting the gas, making a break for it.
Even Xavier seemed to be getting ready for this. WHEEEW...
But as they rolled closer, Klaus's eyes easily caught sight of one of the cops who just ended a call with a slightly furrowed brow etched across his face.
His mind raced with various different possibilities as the car slowly rolled towards the cops.

"All right guys, pack it up," The cop in black, said to his fellow cops before he added, "The criminal has been reported dead."
He was about to take a step before he stopped, "Oh- Also. The boss said two detectives might pass by soon and hmm...
"And keep an eye out for detectives. One of them might look like the perp but don't shoot. Orders from the top "
Although they all found it weird. Still, this was an order from a superior, they were in no position to go against it.
Klaus's car came to a half before then. They were already packing the obstructions when their eyes suddenly caught sight of the criminal.
Their heart skipped a beat as some of them were even about to fire their bullets. But they suddenly recollected what Aden had just said.
They breathed a sigh of relief as Aden looked at Klaus with a scrutinizing gaze. Fuck... This isn't just the same facial resemblance. It's practically the same person!
Klaus brought out his badge, a calm expression adorning his face, "I am Detective Zander, and this is my partner, Detective Hollerein."
One of the cops nods his head, "Yeah... We already got a call. You're clear to go."
He paused for a second before he added with a wry smile, "It must have been tough dealing with a criminal wearing your face."
Klaus chuckled, though there was no humor in it. "You have no idea."
Aden nods, his voice piercing through the air.
"Let the detectives pass through." He commanded, receiving salutations from two cops ahead, "Yes sir!" They replied in unison.
Xavier subtly nods at Aden before the car slowly moves forward.
Aden had a light smile creeping up his face, "See you again detectives."
Klaus nodded in reply as the brothers escaped the deadly, capricious situation that they had found themselves in.
As they drove away, both brothers could be seen laughing heartedly in the car.
Xavier laughed softly.
"You should have seen the look on their faces. It was like they'd seen a ghost."
Klaus grinned, the tension finally lifting. "Yeah. Guess we gave them something to talk about."
A few seconds easily passed by as the brothers drove in silence.
"So...where to now?" Klaus questioned.
Xavier handed over a newspaper to Klaus, who raised an eyebrow.
"Desolate Wilderness in Yansen."
One of the seven Major Cities found in the Northern parts of the Universal States.
Xavier nods, "Dad left some coordinates, and guess where one of them points to?"
Klaus, who had also seen the coordinate within their dad's journal, muttered in response.
"Desolate Wilderness."
Xavier lightly nods in response.
Klaus handed over the newspaper to him.
"Alright. Desolate Wilderness it's then."
He tuned in to a classic rock music and then stepped onto the pedal, causing the car to burst into a frenzied speed.
Klaus seemed to have turned into a rock star now, as he sang to the tunes of the classical rock music.
While Xavier smiled at him, enjoying the time he had with his brother.
The doubts of the future gnawing on the very edges of his soul to the very depths of his mind.
