Chapter 16 - THE REAL MASTERMIND

"The individuals on stage included the AMERICANA President, the new Prime Minister of India, and prominent figures from various sectors. Among them were:

- Alex's father, Mukesh Roy, the 2nd richest man in the world

- Albert Washington, the 3rd richest man, with diverse business interests

- Sarha's father, the king of the cosmetics industry

- Nemur's father, a renowned fighter and the 8th richest man

- Raj's father, a leading doctor of his generation, who now dominates the medical industry with 60% global market share and 20% in paramedical fields

These influential individuals were accompanied by other notable personalities, whose identities I wasn't familiar with."

"Once everyone was seated again, Sarha's dad came out and announced, 'I think many of you already know why we're gathered here today.' He gave a lengthy speech, and then said, 'Today, we're going to announce something that could potentially shake the entire world.'

Mukesh Roy, Alex's father, stepped up to the microphone and made three significant announcements. Firstly, he revealed and said my and my friends' sons and daughters are still alive, and I am warning those who had tried to harm them and they would take their revenge personally. He emphasized that they had remained silent until now, but would no longer hold back.

Secondly, he announced we are going to form business partnership between me and Albert Washington, along with Ramesh Singh, the king of cosmetics. I like to mentioned that new products would be released soon and sample are here and will be in auction occuring soon .

Finally, I want to hinted at an even bigger announcement, but before that, Ramesh Roy had something to say. However, before Ramesh began, I like to request that everyone put away their cameras and devices."

"As Mukesh Roy finished speaking, I felt an energy wave wash over me, and my phone went dead. He continued, 'I don't want this information to leak outside, and if anyone utters a single word about it, I'll personally kill them.' He emphasized the gravity of the situation, and the hall fell silent.

Then, Ramesh Roy stepped forward and made a shocking announcement: 'Before I proceed, I want to disown my daughter Sarha as my heir and remove her from our family name. She has disappointed me and committed a grave crime.' The audience was stunned, and confusion filled the air.

Ramesh Roy continued, 'From now on, our new heir will be... Sarha.' The hall erupted into chaos as people struggled to understand the sudden change.

Just then, the sound of sandals walking echoed through the hall, and a 20-year-old girl emerged from the darkness of the stage. The audience gasped in shock, and my system alerted me: 'Your killer has been detected , host .'"

"As I heard the announcement, a surge of energy entered my mind, and my head began to ache. Before me stood a woman who looked identical to Sarha. The resemblance was uncanny, and suddenly, everything made sense - Sarha's changing behavior, her ignoring me, the slight alteration in her voice, and the small till of her face that I remembered. This woman had the same features, and my mind started racing.

My rage was unleashed, and my killing intent surged. However, I sensed another, even more powerful killing aura directed towards this Sarha. I turned towards it, shocked to find Alex, his eyes fixed intently on her. I was perplexed - didn't he love her in my past life? Why was he now exuding an even stronger killing intent than me?

Alex's gaze shifted towards me, and I saw that we shared the same emotion, which tempered our killing auras. The tension was palpable, and I struggled to understand the complexity of the situation."

"Fortunately, no one else sensed the intense emotions except Nemur and Raj, who looked at us with confusion. Alex and I exchanged a glance, but I knew I had to leave the scene to calm down. If I stayed, my anger might consume me, and I could end up killing the imposter. I headed to the girls' toilet, washing my face and taking deep breaths to compose myself. 'Aysha, control yourself,' I repeated, trying to rationalize the situation.

As I calmed down, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I realized I hadn't misjudged Sarha; my love for her was genuine. This must be her twin or an imposter. Now, I knew what I had to do. I had always been a supportive partner, often taking a backseat. But now, it was time to help Sarha achieve her goals and make her the best version of herself. My Sarha would take revenge on the fake one, and I would be by her side to support her every step of the way."

"I was still confused about Alex and Sarha's relationship in this life and why he showed such intense hatred towards her. I composed myself and returned to the scene, but Alex was nowhere to be found. He soon returned, perhaps he got for nature call after Ramesh Singh's announcement was complete.

Sarha was leaving her seat when I approached her, caught her hand, and said, 'Why are you leaving? Stay here, you're our friend. You may not be the heir to your father's business, but you're still our friend.' Sarha looked at me with grateful eyes.

Alex, Nemur, and Raj joined in, saying, 'Yes, Sarha, you're our old friend, and that won't change.' I added, 'Not someone who suddenly appears can take your place. You stay here.'

Tears welled up in Sarha's eyes as she hugged me, and I hugged her back. If I were a boy in this life, I would have already confessed my love for her. But as a girl, I couldn't."

"We sat down on a bench, and the hall erupted in applause. Alex's father beamed with pride, but some individuals, including the evil Sarha and her father, seethed with anger and jealousy. The imposter Sarha took a seat in the third row, where less prominent people were seated. Whispers and chatter spread throughout the hall, as people speculated about the events that had transpired.

I felt a surge of anger thinking about what might have happened to Sarha in the past. Did she have to walk out crying? Why didn't she call me or say anything? My thoughts were interrupted by Mukesh Roy's announcement.

'And finally, one more piece of news,' he said. 'But before that, we will hold a private auction. Please sit down on your bench, and you will be teleported to a separate room. A panel will appear in front of you, where you can enter your bid amount. Don't worry, your identity and bid will remain anonymous. Many of you have hidden your identities, so please proceed. After the auction, another significant announcement will be made.'"
