I've read the novels. Watch the sagas unfold on screen, big and small. Its always the same.
The Hero rises, shining with the righteous fury, wielding a legendary sword that only one person can hold in the entire world. They face impossible odds, legions of darkness, and a powerful vile villain stronger than the hero that there's no question who's more formidable. And then in final moment when all hope seems lost the Hero finds last bit of his strength or perhaps powers up, and with one swift strike, the all powerful Villain stronger than the Hero is Vanquished. The Day is saved. The World rejoices. The hero stands victorious.
And I'm left staring at the screen, the book, the novel, all stories ending the same way. Predictable. Boring.
Because no one ever asks what happens after. But I know the answer why and It is the Ending. The perfect, happy ending that wraps everything up in a neat little bow.
With that, I get up from my Living room and head to the Bed.
"I wish I could be transferred into one of those worlds, but not as some hero. No, I want to be the villain—the one everyone fears. I want to laugh in the face of those heroes while they tremble, and I'll bring about the true destruction of the world."
" Not like those idiot Demon kings or whoever powerful foe they face at the end but the only person who brings the Destruction"
" And this way my Day ends and I am heading to Bed for the sleep"
As I lie down, I close my eyes and drift off, thoughts of destruction and chaos swirling in my mind
But then, I feel something strange. Heat. Intense, unbearable heat. Where's the softness of my bed?
I jolt awake, my heart racing. My eyes snap open, and I see something unimaginable.
"What… is happening?"
The sky above me is red, burning with a fiery glow. Around me lie corpses, twisted and broken, and beside me, a massive, grotesque creature—a dead serpent as large as a dinosaur. The stench is overwhelming, a sickening mix of burning flesh and blood.
I scramble to my feet, my mind reeling. The world around me is nothing like the one I know. It's a battlefield, a nightmare brought to life.
And then it hits me. This isn't a dream
This is the world I wished for.
And I'm in it
