Chapter 16 - Chapter 15.2 - 1st arc (Prologue)

I know i have been very inconsistent, to be fair part of this is because i don't like what i have achieved with this novel and some other things too.

When i saw others writing trash fanfic and novels i really thought i could write better than them, only to revisit my older chapter and I will say it's not that better then them. . . just a little better.

But reality is very different and this is the curve of knowledge.

Yet with all that I have learned in the past few months, I will now try to put it in this work to the best i can.

This whole idea has become very different than my original idea.

Points to note. (things that will be different now)

 - - - 1- - -jin will not be nerfed

What he is like - he is like jhon wick, who also likes to pull super crazy shit, even though he was the most wanted killer back on earth that was because of his high profile murders and the crazy shit he did. he is not as good as Jhon when it comes to killing but his new powers will make that weakness sooner or later.

* His progress will be as a human being and adapting to his new power, and becoming more of what he already was, 17 years here has made him a little softer.

* Difficulty level of the world will go up by few points (you can think what you want of this)

* Alongside action and drama Darker themes, like slavery, murder, inequality, heroes, villains and such will be deeply discovered in this work, (it's ok if you don't want to continue)

It would be realistic, not the brainless violence you hate, it would be meaningful and ingrained in the plot, if you like the Vinland saga so no reason for hate.

* And realism = the one thing I have seen quite less in other fanfic and org novels, these days

* people have personalities/ emotions, other people also have brain, plans and their own wants and needs, people both villain and mc gets tired too. . . no bullshit stamina that always finishes after the fight or when they reach safety.

That's all. . . if you wanted something like pure struggle like from 0 to 100 that won't happen for jin, because given the type of person Jin was in the past 17 years he will do lot of things different, especially after his mother's whole case. he is more like 50 to100

Although you can watch Deku as he will go from 0-100.

While on the other side, our upcoming hidden heroes find themselves in Mids of chaos as their ideologies clash with one another, and the pending answers for them to solve.

Far away from the hustle and bustle of cities, honking of cars and the neons, here in this life devoid place.

The sun has set and the moons have arrived, with the shadows of night the stars have also arrived.

Thwooom!

Sssshhh

The rhythmic crash of waves echoed against the jagged coastal rocks, sending sprays of salty mist into the cool evening air.

Above, the stars twinkled like scattered diamonds, illuminating the lighthouse's silhouette. The faint beam from its rotating light swept across the darkened sea, a beacon of hope amidst the encroaching shadows.

In the forest behind, the insects chimed in, their chirping a lively chorus that filled the stillness of the night.

Woosh

The cold breeze travelled through the dense forest surrounding the lighthouse, what's once was a tourist spot now an area abandoned by the government, and even those who had something to hide, for this whole forest flourishes on the bodies of those who sought to uncover or hide, a place of horror as old as the awakening of quirks, maintained by the part time coastal guard assigned to it.

Who didn't dare step in the shadow of night

Yet here a man stood here on the very top of the Arial of lighthouse, his one leg dangling in the air while his dark cloak covered him in entirety, strangely it didn't even budge as the wind rushed past him, with his back to the forest he calmly watches the ocean with his hand behind him.

Yet the thing that stood out was his mask.

A Japanese demon mask.

Black Skull-like structure while 2 large demon horn came from the forehead, a swirling 3rd eye pattern and 2 mini behind it, it's menacing golden teeth and nose ring stood out the most.

Below in the watch tower, another person seems to be walking in worry, unlike the man this person wore a dark set of clothes and tactical gear perfect for the dweller of night, perfectly covering every inch of the person's body.

Her mask was the only thing giving her identity as a female, a black mask with 2 golden horns wit, a female feature of an Asian women, with some golden letters written on the forehead and a thin golden line on the lower lip.

"Hey Boss how long!" she whispered, while looking left and right clearly worried as if something will jump from the forest itself.

"Damn it." She muttered, When no answer came, she slammed her fist down on the cold, white railing yet did nothing to ease the knot of dread twisting in her stomach.

She sucked in a shaky breath, forcing herself to keep quiet as if the very air in this place demanded her silence. Teeth gritted, she paced in tight, nervous circles, her fingers fumbling, twisting together in rhythm with her growing frustration.

"Of all the fucking places it had to be here!" Her mind flashed with snippets of news she'd read, stories of this forsaken place. A shiver raced up her spine, a warning prickling her skin.

"Fuck!" catching sight of a bleached skeleton sprawled somewhere just beyond the tree line, half-hidden under a moss-draped rock. Her heart skittered, and she scrambled back inside.

She slammed the window glass door shut and dropped onto a small, threadbare yellow couch, pulling her knees up as though that could shield her from the eerie woods.

Her gaze drifted reluctantly to the ocean, a desolate expanse of dark water that seemed to stretch on forever. She swallowed, her mouth dry. More than seven hundred souls lost—missing or dead. And not just in recent history; no, this was old. "Forget about the government," she muttered, half to herself "even the dumbest of dumbo don't come here."

Her body stiffened as another dreadful realization hit her like a wave, icy and unyielding. "And that was a century-old report," she whispered, her voice quivering.

She checked her phone, a last-ditch effort for connection. But, of course, no signal. She groaned. "The fuck are they thinking, government didn't abandon this entire side of the coast for nothing"

The gnawing fear within her chest quickly morphed into something angrier. She slammed her fist into her thigh, leaping from the couch.

She was done with this madness. "It's all that bastard's fault. How dare he make—"

TAP.

"Eiiiiiikkkk!" Her hand flew to her chest as her heart hammered wildly, nearly escaping its cage of ribs. The world spun for a moment before she caught sight of a figure leaning against the white railing outside, calmly gazing out over the vast, haunted ocean.

"Something is here," the man murmured, his voice so low it barely seemed real. He remained still, seemingly unfazed, his eyes fixed on a dark shape cresting in the waves.

Then—

Whoosh! Crash!

The ocean was stirring, waves swelling higher, surging towards them. She threw the window open, stepping closer, unwilling to leave him alone but wary of the shadows creeping along the treeline. She scanned every corner of the forest, each flicker of movement tightening the knot of anxiety coiled in her gut.

BOOM!

Her breath caught. "There is something under the water," she whispered, her voice barely audible, but he didn't respond, his gaze locked somewhere she couldn't see.

BOOOM!

Then, with a trembling finger, she pointed to the sea, her heart racing as the dark waters began to part, revealing something massive, something impossible. "I-it's coming, BOSS!" Her voice quivered, as she tried to wake her boss.

The man's eyes met hers—empty, hollow, a piercing shade of blue that sent ice through her veins.

A grin seemed to twist beneath his mask, its demon-like expression somehow alive and malevolent. "You're lucky that I'm with you," he said quietly, his voice as steady as stone, "others would have not let it slide. . . I am your boss, but he"

BOOOOOM!

A shockwave blasted across the water, spraying mist that glowed under the pale moonlight.

She stumbled back, her eyes wide, horrified at the sight rising from the depths.

KREAANNNNGGGG!

A monstrous roar shattered the silence, loud enough to make the very trees tremble. Her boss stood there with his arms open, welcoming the nightmarish creature as even even his unmoving cloak fluttered in the force of its arrival. The whole forest seemed to freeze in response, every insect and creature swallowed by silence, afraid to draw its attention.

The creature loomed tall, thunder dancing along its spiny back, its scales glistening with an unearthly blue sheen, mesmerizing yet deadly. It stood atop the jagged coral stones, towering toward the lighthouse, its enormous yellow eyes fixed directly on her.

"Fucking Christ," she whispered, her voice barely a breath, her body trembling. She felt the creature's gaze press into her, its monstrous yellow eyes filling her vision.

Even her boss, normally so unyielding, seemed to stiffen, a flicker of surprise breaking in. "Welcome home, Captain, thought you'd forgotten about us."

The creature snarled, its voice like rolling thunder, "Playtime is over, Yaksa. . . I need names."

She blinked, rooted in place, a deep, visceral refusal welling up in her. 'This can't be real…' Her boss turned toward her, an eerie smile implied beneath his mask. His eyes gleamed with a dark thrill animating his face.

"Oh, did I forget to mention?"

"This is our home... the Forest of Rot."

'Mother fucking helllll!'
