The Ashe Reckoning: Tale of Humanfall

*Chopping tree* Huh... thats all i have to go for some hunting later, but I can't do it too late, recently I heard strange noises, I doubt they came from an animal, although I'm wary of this place anyway because you don't know what will happen but even here it's not safe either way, this is the reality.... for now lets take this chunk of wood.

Distracted while thinking* hmm..       *Straightens back*

*Growling is heard*

Huh? I think something's there...

*Slowly walking*

*Growling continues*

*A wolf emerges from the forest*

Oh, its a wolf, but why it growls, and the strangest thing is, this is my first time seeing a wolf here, usually there are foxes and cats but wolves... that's odd.

*Looks at the wolf*

*Growl stops and the wolf begins to approach him*

What... what does it want, its coming closer, I've never seen it so close, I must be careful.

But the good thing is that this isnt any beast like Zhorgs or Bjors, i heard they live there.

*The wolf begins to lick his hand and wag its tail*

Well, this is unexpected, I wonder why its so friendly, well, at least he's not a bad guy, maybe i should keep him with me and maybe if he gets used to me we could become good friends.

*Sits on the ground*

Hey, come here, i dont bite...

*The wolf begins to lie down beside him and the wolf puts his head on his leg and looks at him and licks his hand again*

So, now i have a new friend, what will I call you.... hmm.., i have no idea, I don't really like giving names, but you need a name.

*Looks at the sky*

You know, I never gave a name to anyone or anything, you could be my first friend and the first to be named, hmmm, a name for you.... I could try to find one by looking at you.

*Looks at him closely and carefully*

So, how about a name.... i'll name you Zephyr, do you like that name?

*Zephyr starts wagging his tail and licks his face*

*Laughs*

So, now I have a pet and a friend, and he seems to be very happy and he likes his name, well, we'll see how this goes, for now we need a place to sleep, it's starting to get dark.

*Looks at the sky*

Yes, it's getting late, it's about time, and I have to go hunting, come with me, maybe you can help me and we'll see how strong you are, and who knows, maybe you'll get some food.

Walks towards the forest*

*Zephyr follows him*

**In the forest...**

*Hunters are talking*

-So, have you seen the new kid who came here, and what was his name, i heard it was Haniff.

-I don't really care, I only want his

head on a stick, and his body for

the beasts, that's what he deserves

for being here, and if someone wants

to get involved, we will kill them

as well.

-I'm fine with that, let's hope

we catch him alive and bring him

back so he can be tortured and

killed in the city, I want to see

his body being ripped apart

and see his blood dripping

*listening to the conversation*

What in the world are they talking about? torturing?, killed in city? , i dont really care because it seems they have energy blasters so they are from great developed tribe or city...

For now i have to get out of here with Zephyr or i might be in very big danger.

*He and Zephyr are slowly walking*

*He trips and falls into a bush*

*Zephyr hides*

*Hunters look towards his direction*

*They look away and start talking again*

*They continue walking away from him*

*He slowly walks out of the bush and sits down on the ground and tries to calm himself*

Phew, that was close, and I was lucky, if not, they could have killed me, I'd better be more careful, and we're already here, and where's Zephyr.

*He looks around him*

Where did he go, he was here with me just a few seconds ago, he probably hid because of those hunters, if that's the case, then I have to find him and fast, I can't leave him alone.

*He begins to search*

*Zephyr comes out of the bush*

*Zephyr approaches him and licks his face and hands*

*He smiles and pats his head*

Hey, i was looking for you, and i thought i lost you, where were you?

*Zephyr lies down and starts scratching the ground with his front paws and wags his tail*

So, are you playing a game or are you trying to dig a hole to hide, i doubt that because it's a little strange for a wolf to do that.

*sits on the ground*

Anyway, lets go home, I don't really feel safe, i'd rather go back to my cave and stay there for a while.

*He and Zephyr walk*

*Hours pass and night falls*

*Haniff and Zephyr are in the cave*

*Zephyr is lying next to the fireplace*

*Haniff is sleeping next to the wall*

*Suddenly, an earthquake begins*

*Zephyr and Haniff wake up*

*Zephyr stands in his place*

*Haniff looks at him and the surroundings and sees that nothing is falling apart*

*Looks at the cave walls and sees them shaking*

*The earthquake lasts a few minutes and stops*

*Everything is back to normal*

*Zephyr goes and licks Haniff's face and hands*

*Haniff pets his head*

What happened? An earthquake, but I haven't heard of them around here, is there a problem in the city or did it happen in another area, whatever it is, I'd rather not go to the city, because there could be an uprising or something.

*Looks at Zephyr*

Hey, are you ok? That was quite a scare, but everything's back to normal, I'm glad you're not hurt.

I think this earthquakewas because of some type of beast, but what even was that?

*He looks outside*

*The moon is high*

*Looks at the fireplace and sees it's going out*

*Looks at Zephyr who is lying near the fire*

*Sighs*

It's almost dawn, I should get some rest, and you should too, after all, it's been a long day, and we had to go through an earthquake, and those hunters, that was a lot, and that wolf that was with them, it was strange, i think that wolf was a Zhorg, because of the size and these teeths and fangs that looked like those of a Zhorg, anyway, let's go to sleep.

*He goes to his usual place and lies down*

*He looks at Zephyr*

*Looks outside*

*Stares at the cave ceiling*

*He sighs and closes his eyes and falls asleep*

*Zephyr stares at him and then lays down and looks at the cave entrance*
