Chapter 5 - Awaken Power (Part 2)

Both guards look at Pope Adam with fear in their eyes, before one guard drops his spear and puts his hand on Pope Adam's shoulder.

"Pope Adam, are you speaking the truth?"

Pope Adam looks at the guard with a serious look in his eyes.

"Yes. Now hurry and tell the other guards and the royal guard that King Harold has to be protected at all cost."

"Yes of course, Pope Adam."

Both guards give Pope Adam and quick bow before running off to the castle.

Pope Adam swipes the little bit of sweat from his forehead before turning around to enter the church.

As he goes to open the door to the church, the guard that dropped his spear came back to grab his spear.

Pope Adam looks at the guard with a concerning look on his face.

"Why have you returned, my good sir?"

The guard gives Pope Adam another quick bow.

"I forgot my spear, please forgive me Pope Adam."

The guard grabs the spear and runs off towards the castle.

Pope Adam puts his hand on his face as he takes a deep breath.

("I hope that hero doesn't do something that he will regret in the near future.")

As Pope Adam looks off towards the castle where King Harold is back in the throne room talking to Lady Destiny about her latest mission.

"Hahaha" "Yes that does sound great indeed, Lady Destiny."

"Yes, King Harold is right, you did a great job showing the demon army why you're the strongest, Lady Destiny."

Both King Harold and Sir Groudson praise Lady Destiny from defeating the demon army that was led by 3 high ranking demons.

Lady Destiny is on one knee with her head bow down to King Harold.

"My King, you praise me too much."

King Harold stops smiling for a second before taking a sip from his cup of wine.

"Yes, it is true I did do the final killing blow on the last high ranking demon, but my team are the ones that defeated the other 2 high ranking demons."

Sir. Groudson smiling big as he scratches the back of his head.

"Yes, we didn't forget about your team, and don't worry each of them will be recognized as the ones that help you defeat the demon army. Is that right, King Harold."

Sir. Groudson looks at King Harold, as King Harold is finishing off his cup of wine.

"Yes. That is correct. All the members of your party, Lady Destiny, will be awarded evenly."

"That is good to hear, but."

"But?"

Destiny raised her head and looked at King Harold.

"The City of Emberhold has taken a lot of damage and most of their knights perished during the battle."

"City of Emberhold you say?"

Sir Groudson looks over at King Harold

"Yes, the city is fair east from here. It is right outside of the Kingdom of Thornguard."

"I see. So Lady Destiny, what are you asking from me?"

"It is very simple, my King. I would like to make a request to have some troops from here to stay at Emberhold just until they get most of their defensive back up and running."

"Are you crazy? We can't just help other cities that are not in other Kingdom's domains. There are rules that must be followed."

"That is enough Sir. Groudson."

"But my King, we can't…"

Sir. Groudson looks back at King Harold again but sees King Harold looking down at Destiny, with a small grin on his face.

"Yes of course."

King Harold starts to think in head about how he could use this chance to take control of Lady Destiny.

("Yes, I will agree to the terms but with the cost that she married my son. Yes, that is perfect. I will gain the strongest hero that this world has ever created and my son who is an up and coming King. And once they are married, they will have a child that will be so powerful that no one will stand a chance against it.")

King Harold puts his cup down on the arm rest before speaking.

"Lady Destiny, I will accept your offer under one condition. You have to marry my…"

"No."

King Harold freezes in place for a second from what Destiny said, before clearing his ears out.

"I am sorry Lady Destiny, but can you repeat that again, I believe I am hearing things."

"Please forgive me, King Harold. But I must turn down your offer."

"May I ask you why you're turning down the King's offer, Lady Destiny?"

Destiny looks up at King Harold with a straight face.

"I do apologize for the miss understand my King, but I must turn down your offer. As a Hero of this world, I have a duty to serve the people and to defeat the Demon King."

"You are aware that the heroes of this world are not strong enough to kill the Demon King late alone to harm him."

"That might be true Sir Groudson, but I am the strongest hero to ever be born in this world."

"You have a great point there. But still, you should think of your future and what you want to leave behind, not what the people want from you."

"Not what the people want?"

Lady Destiny looks over at Sir Groudson with a disappointing look on her face.

"Do you understand what it is like to feel helpless and weak, to be annoyed when you cry out for help, to be homeless with nowhere to sleep and no family to call home, to have everything ripped from you that you worked so hard to get to only be looked at as an outsider? No, you don't. This world is a cruel world, and if you're weak you will die, as the strong continue on living."

Sir Groudson looks up at King Harold before looking back at Lady Destiny with a confused look on his face.

"What are you getting at Lady Destiny?"

After asking the question Sir Groudson rests his right hand on his sword's hilt that is on his right hip in its sheath.

Lady Destiny sees Sir Groudson move his hand to his sword hilt as she shows no signs of worry in her eyes as she continues to talk.

"What I am trying to say is as one of the strongest, no the strongest. I will help the weak so they can continue on living so they can see a future where they don't need to fear anything or anyone again."

"And is this your main goal, or just a dream that you had?"

Lady Destiny looks up at King Harold sitting in his throne with an annoyed look on his face.

"Does it really matter if it was a dream or a goal of mine? What matters is that we need to start helping the weak or…"

King Harold stands up from his throne with a red face filled with anger.

"OR WHAT? THEY ARE WEAK BECAUSE THEY ARE TRASH THAT IS ALL."

King Harold takes a breath and relaxes a little before continuing talking.

"As the strong, we must only protect the strong. You shouldn't waste your time helping the ones that are mint to die. It is unfitting of a hero."

Lady Destiny bows her head to King Harold.

"I see. If that is all, I will take my leave now."

Lady Destiny stands up and walks out of the throne room, as both Sir Groudson and King Harold watch the door close behind her with disappointment in their eyes.

After the door closes behind Lady Destiny, King Harold stands up and walks down the throne steps and waves over a servant.

One of the servant girls runs over and gives King Harold a bow.

"How may I be at your service my King."

"Go inform the leader of Emberhold. That we will send some help very shortly."

King Harold smiles to make an evil smirk on his face before waving off the servant girl.

"Yes, my King, it will be done."

THe servant girl runs off to deliver the message.

"That damn woman. Thinking that she's too good for my son, for my blood. I should teach her a lesson. She should be proud to carry on my genes, not mock it."

King Harold storms off towards the windows as Sir Groudson spoke up.

"My King, was it wise to send a servant girl to deliver that?"

"Are you questioning my way of thinking Sir Groudson?"

"No, of course not. Your wisdom is too great for me to understand."

King Harold looks out the widows in the throne room and starts to feel invincible and untouchable as he starts to laugh.

"HAHAHA!" "I know what I will do. I will make her look terrible in front of the people that she loves and then I will kill them all right in front of her. But before I finish off, my son will come in to save the day. Yes, that is a perfect plan. Do you not agree with me, Sir Groudson?"

"Yes of course I do."

"Good. Wait, I got it."

King Harold turns round to look at Sir Groudson.

"Sir Groudson. Summon The Risen D…"

"Are you about to say the risen dongs? Hehe"

Both King Harold and Sir Groudson quickly turn and look at the closed doors and see no one standing there.

"My King, did you hear that too?"

"Yes, I did." ("I sounded like that one hero that believes he is a god. But I don't see anything.")

"Quit staring at me, like the weirdos you are."

Both King Harold and Sir Groudson continue to look but don't see anyone.

"Who is it there? Show yourself, or you will be punished for spying on the King."

Sir Groudson waves his hand at the other guards in the room.

"Find the one hiding quickly."

"Yes sir."

The knights start to look around the throne room but can't find anyone.

"What is going on here, Sir Groudson?"

"I wish I knew my King."

"Wait, you guys can't see me. Right, I forgot I had imagined I was invisible to all eyes. Let me fix that for you."

As everyone in the throne room looks at the closed doors, they start to see a body appear as it is being created from small blocks slowly making a man's body.

King Harold and Sir Groudson quickly see who's the man that was invisible.

"So, it was you."

"Who me?"

Sir Groudson draws his sword.

"Leave now, or I will cut you down like the cow you are."

After Johnny fully appears in front of everyone in the throne room, he points straight at Sir Groudson.

"I have a name. And it's called Sin. As I am about to bring chaos to this world."
