'Well, that was rather easy.'
Looking at the stacked pile of bones before him, lights of hope flamed in the eyes of Jiang Feng as if he could see the exit of the tomb in front of him.
However, the other Undead Soldiers rushing towards him didn't give him time to indulge in such motivation as each of them swung their spears at him.
Getting down as he rolled forward to dodge these spears from narrowly piercing his waist, Jiang Feng quickly stood back up as he slashed at one of the Undead Soldier along with its horse, reducing them to just a pile of bones as they fall onto the ground.
"Two down, three more to go." Jiang Feng said.
Witnessing how the Undead Soldiers 'died' before his sword without facing any difficulties, confidence spread throughout his body and pumped his veins with adrenaline as he took the initiative to attack the other two Undead Soldiers.
Not even using a minute to deal with the two Undead Soldiers, their bones fell apart as it was added to the pile of bones on the ground.
"I guess that leaves me with you."
Turning away from the remains of his defeated opponents, Jiang Feng stared at the leader of the Undead Soldier, who happened to be doing the same to him.
Despite witnessing its own soldiers and comrade being killed in front of him, not a single shred of anger or resentment could be felt from the figure that stood opposite to him. In fact, it was even giving off an eerie feeling of calmness.
'I guess the emotions already died even though their bones remained living.' Jiang Feng thought to himself as he prayed that the people these soldiers used to be have a good rest and a happy life ahead of them.
Throwing the distraction away, Jiang Feng raised his sword as he dashed forward and engaged in close combat with the leader, just like how he dealt with the Undead Soldiers behind him.
The leader of Undead Soldier didn't avoid or retreat either as its horse started galloping towards Jiang Feng, eager to face its opponent head on.
Reaching the center of the room, the sword and the spear met as a deafening sound rung in Jiang Feng's head before subsiding. Both of his arms were also slightly trembling as the sword in his vibrated after coming into contact with the spear in the Undead Soldier's hand.
"I guess it's expected for the leader to have stronger strength compared to its lackey." Jiang Feng said as he jumped back to create distance.
The Undead Soldier didn't let the chance go as it followed up with rapid pierce strikes, each aiming at Jiang Feng's vital points.
Since Jiang Feng had no prior experience in combat before coming to this place, the only way he could dodge was to get down and roll away, which was still working effectively unexpectedly, giving him chances of striking on the openings of the Undead Soldier.
However, just like how it was stronger in strength compared to its lackeys, the Undead Soldier Jiang Feng was facing also had more experience in blocking and parrying lethal attacks.
Thus, the battle was met with a stalemate as the two continued to defend and attack each other. However, a change was slowly seen as Jiang Feng's movement became more precise and nimble with each attack.
He was learning mid-battle from the Undead Soldier, grasping some techniques that couldn't be taught just from books as he applied them to use immediately.
Soon, the Undead Soldier fell into disadvantage as the tip and blade of Jiang Feng's sword reached closer to its 'body' with each attack. What's more to say, was the fact that all of Jiang Feng was coming rapidly and his speed was still rising.
Deflecting the spear of the Undead Soldier, Jiang Feng created an opening for himself to use. The spear no longer concerned him since he was sure that it couldn't protect its master in a short frame of time, and the Undead Soldier didn't have any other protective measure for itself.
Raising the sword in his hands up high, Jiang Feng swung it sideways as the blade headed for the Undead Soldier's waist, with the Undead Horse's neck as its next.
Just then, all of the body hairs on Jiang Feng stood up as a chill was sent down his spine. An emergency urge to turn around quickly rose in him, and Jiang Feng didn't think twice about doing so as his body moved.
However, even reacting as quick as he could, a spear pierced his left arm while another penetrated his right thigh.
"AHHH!"
Despite the unbearable pain assaulting his mind as it threatened to turn him unconscious, Jiang Feng managed to prevent himself from passing out.
Gathering all his strength and will, he quickly swung the sword in his hands as it hit the unknown enemies before him, making them fall back as the spears were pulled out, causing second-time damage to Jiang Feng as he screamed in pain again.
Staggering backwards while his body wiggled powerlessly, Jiang Feng attempted to create distance between himself and the leader of the Undead Soldiers, preventing it from striking him at his back.
This action gave time for Jiang Feng's wounds to heal at a visible speed as his wet clothes start to dry up and stopped sticking onto his skin.
Although being confused at first, Jiang Feng quickly understood that it was the water that wetted his clothes, the water from the spiritual pond to be exact, at work as it applied its special properties on his wounded body.
The warmth brought by the spiritual water removed the anxiety and confusion in Jiang Feng's mind, allowing him to think rationally again.
Putting the matter about his wounds aside, Jiang Feng raised his head and looked at where the leader of the Undead Soldiers stood at. However, when his eyes landed on the unknown enemies that struck him earlier, his pupil started trembling as he became stunned out of shock.
